Shes not very good at the job. It makes no sense for her to be on there It makes perfect sense in the PC world of the Bay Area... Nice to see the Sharks win one...any win, in any fashion, is good for this team and its fans. They are clearly using her to market woman's hockey. Most sports are doing the same one way or another.

Jumbo has no hands and no puck skills anymore. The Kase goal was brutal. That was three passes under minimal pressure that all went sideways. Gross. Marleau was one of those guilty parties but he made up for it. I think the Jumbo vs. Patty longevity debate is coming to a close. I feel vindicated. Even if Patty's cliff is just 75 feet longer than Jumbo's

Even if Patty's cliff is just 75 feet longer than Jumbo's It is funny how last year it looked completely different. Jumbo looked reborn on two surgically repaired knees and made the third line go with Labanc and Sorensen while Patty looked like he was at the end of the line and had nowhere to turn. Saying that it’s a damning indictment for this team that 40 year old Marleau is such an upgrade over the prospects they tried at the outset.

So many guys double digit minus.

Even if Patty's cliff is just 75 feet longer than Jumbo's I don’t see how Thornton can play next year...likewise, I assume PM will be back if he’ll take the same money. He’s worth every penny of what they’re paying him and the Sharks don’t have anyone better in the pipeline.

And that how low the org is, scrapping the bottom of the barrell for 40 year old players that can plug a gaping hole

It is kind of sad because I like the thought of Jumbo and Patty getting another kick at the cup with a real contender but what real contender needs or wants 40 year old depth? What would DW even get, a mid-to-late round pick? I mean it’s worth it undoubtedly but... it just would feel like mercy and grace.

It's either a pay out or a pay cut for a cup in the SJ situation, and in their age. Both wanted $15M+ in their three years of decline, both should've taken $6M ($2M/y) each, with a doubling bonus overall if SJ wins the cup in that window and/or with one-year bonus for each year they reach the finals.
Patty went elsewhere, Thornton handcuffed the team's cap with $8M and $5M deals.

But he just seems to have gone off a cliff late last season and not recovered. Patty still has quiet games and did have a pretty bad pass last night as well, but his legs at a minimum are still keeping up with the pack and allowing him to stay in plays.

I don’t think that’s accurate on Patty. Sure Marleau chased more money and term in Toronto but no one thought he did that and weakened his chances at a cup. In fact I’m pretty sure most would’ve said he went to a stronger team at the time. Easy to label them greedy but everyone’s playing the same game, they are not unique.

That mirror needs smashing. No need for it in a locker room. Disagree, this team needs to take a long look in the mirror............ Not if it amounts to checking their hair or popping zits!😝
