Lute Olson, the Hall of Fame basketball coach who turned Arizona into a national powerhouse, has died, his family said Thursday night. He was 85. He was a legend. One of my biggest regrets was not getting to go to a basketball game there when my brother attended college there. It was literally the hardest ticket to get in Tucson, even for the students.

Finally went to Ohio's DMV (BMV here) to change vehicle registration and our DLs. Changes in two titles, registration and new DLs done in 2 hours for a total of $200. License plates received at the counter. Only the rear ones. Just the registration of one vehicle in CA - ~ $280. Wait in the DMV - a story of its own.

I got my registration renewal in the mail yeaterday. $499 for a 5 year old car. How much is car insurance there and is hail damage coverage mandatory?

AAA was just saying "you live in a neighborhood which is highly susceptible to car steals..."

My Uncle is my insurance agent and he told me I could shop around but the state dictates how much insurance companies can charge so I'm pretty much SOL

AAA should have been honest. You live in a soft on crime state and we have to charge our customers to cover this. All of the soft on property laws impact us in higher prices to cover these losses.

Ours is about twice that...but its for five vehicles, my wife and I...and two teenage boys.

Mine is $2600, but I actually live in an area where these things happen on occasion.
