I have not been there is a very long time. Maybe a night there and then up the coast.......... Spent 3 days at Bodega Bay Lodge the first week of March. Pretty nice joint! Back in the day I was a the assistant pro at a swanky tennis club. I taught a guy that owned Bodega Bay/Half Moon Bay/Napa Valley Lodges and Stanford Park Hotel. I would later become night manager of the SPH. Oh the times I had there..................

Mrs. Danville and I are looking at a couple day getaway. Sea Ranch and Carmel are in the running. Any suggestions at a similar distance? Little River Inn (just North of Sea Ranch) is great and so is the little town of Mendocino near there. We we’re there about a year ago. The Timber Cove Lodge (a little South of Sea Ranch)...they have showers/hot tubs in the room that have glass walls so your looking over the ocean while relaxing. Its been a couple of years since we were there. Honeymooned at Timbercove back in ‘83.. tubs overlooking one edge of the earth. the night we made the whales blush.. small world!

Thats where I would stay also. They also have a decent restaurant. The Inn at the Tides is getting pretty old. I stayed out there with some friends two/three years ago and one of my buddies had a room where his window was broken and couldn’t close. It was Nov/Dec and really cold. The hotel’s answer was to give him extra wood for his fireplace...yes, you can actually make a real wood fire (they even supply the wood) in your room there. The Tides restaurant is still a must see...at least a drink at the bar over the water. They're famous for a great, spicy, bloody mary Had a couple Bloodies at The Tides!👍🏻👍🏻

Mrs. Danville and I are looking at a couple day getaway. Sea Ranch and Carmel are in the running. Any suggestions at a similar distance? Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay.. beaches, trails, golf, fancy beach rooms, Cold fresh beer, good atmosphere.. My mom had 2 nights booked there for this weekend but ended up canceling. More as I think she figured she'd be a little paranoid the whole time and it would ruin the experience. Still on her bucket list.

We have enough class based issues here already without importing more. It's really wild to me also how quickly the Bay Area has turned into a heavily Indian population. I mean when you have 1 billion plus people who are being educated and can come in for tech work en masse it makes sense that this would be the outcome, but it really felt like between 2008-2013 or so there was a massive demographic shift on the lower peninsula.

the Indian megacontractors really abused the work visa system. Agree. By the way, in the 2019 H-1B tally Tata and Wipro are only 3rd and 5th in the top visa receivers. 1, 2 and 4 are Amazon, Google and Apple. Another feather in Trump's hat.

Ribs are about another hour away from ready. Firing up the grill for some chicken as well. Fucking humid as balls out here, plus a thunderstorm for like 3p minutes that forced me to pull my little smoker onto our front stoop.

That sounds great...the ribs I mean Although, humid and afternoon thunderstorms are cool also...and pretty normal in July in NC. We went non-traditional this year and made/cooked pizza’s on the bbq. Those home cooked/bbq’d pizzas look funky, but they sure taste good! Happy 4th y’all.

Yee haw! Just got done with our back yard fireworks and shooting...all the critters are really quiet for a change I don't want to hear ANYBODY crying poormouth again after today. I've heard probably 20,000 M80s minimum, probably another 10,000 mortars and 100s of 1000s of firecrackers. It's damn near 1am and fucktards are STILL blowing shit up. I'm surprised my poor dog hasn't had a fucking heart attack! I'd like to go do some shooting right now!
