Yeah I forgot about the boycott and the bill she tried to block I also had no idea. Iduno, that article vibrated like sour grapes to me. I’m indifferent to MaryLou, but to me the historical note is - she was first US gymnast to significantly monetize her gold medal victory. She got a ton of endorsements, tv show appearances. A bubbly high energy personality didn’t hurt until America got sick of the over-sweetness. But by that time she had raked in a few million..

About 20/30 years ago saying things in Oklahoma were better than other places, especially California, would have been so wrong it would be funny. Now, with California is so messed up, Oklahoma’s absolutely a better place to be.

Probably the first time anyone has ever said that in OK This cultural reference escapes me. The weather is good, the hotel is fine, the next destination is a STL suburb... No reference. I just haven't heard good things about OK and that its been getting worse. Just not a lot of culture and a lot of poverty and mediocre nature. I'm no expert though

A bubbly high energy personality didn’t hurt until America got sick of the over-sweetness. But by that time she had raked in a few million.. To quote Mary Lou, "You don't hear complaints from the winners." Outside of the lobbying against protecting kids and asking her daughter, who was an elite during the Nassar era, on national television if she was abused, I have few issues with her, and her win. It was huge for the sport in this country, and she beat the competition at that time. Gymnastics purists are lot like hockey purists: the Soviets/Romanians/Eastern Bloc nations of choice are the equivalent to the Original Six.

I'm no expert though Oklahoma so far featured the best roads and the cheapest gas. We were also able to dine in in all of the places there.

I just haven't heard good things about OK and that its been getting worse. Just not a lot of culture and a lot of poverty and mediocre nature. I'm no expert though I stayed in an old rundown neighborhood in OKC and it was by far the worst night of our trip. Even considering the next night took us like 60 minutes to figure out how to get into our fucking air bnb. We left so fast the next morning I left our cooler with a jar of moms spaghetti sauce in the freezer. I think I drank all the beers in it though.

How is your wife doing with the driving? She's exhausted but the excitement gives her the strength. It's a grind to not only knock out 9-11 hours but then unpack the cars, wind down, get done sleep and do it again the next day. Glad you guys are done today? Enjoy the new house and area!
