My boys and I took a road trip to Aniston, Alabama yesterday (about 8 hours round trip) and picked up a WW2 era M1 Garand rifle from the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). It’s a Christmas present for my oldest boy. First time I’ve worked with CMP. They’re based in Ohio but have a couple of stores/ranges in Alabama. Shot the rifle out back when we got home...great gun, fun to shoot and still works great.
If you have any interest in guns/shooting, look up the CMP on line. They have a good website with a lot of video and other classic gun info.

You people are boring in the offseason I'm boring in all seasons, but criminy, do you remember when there was a new social every day - and it would run to dozens of pages? And the real hockey "experts" wouldn't be caught dead posting in the social but must have really liked Miss Kris, and Twisted and Tris and ... (I forget all the names) because they got busted there all the time. And they were wonderful people. Not boring like us. |

LMAO, I remember when the Social was its own private discussion thread and new members would get killed if they even tried to post there. I still talk to Tris, Twisted, Taz, Miss Kris and a few other ones. A few pub nights with them really loosened up those gals. |

Not trying to talk about hockey in the social, but there used to be so much excitement around this team. |

Dawn Wells, who played the beloved girl-next-door Mary Ann Summers on “Gilligan’s Island,” died Wednesday in Los Angeles after battling COVID-19. She was 82.
Her publicist, Harlan Boll, announced her death, according to Variety.
A Reno, Nevada, native, Wells was Miss Nevada in the 1959 Miss America pageant before she was cast in “Gilligan’s Island” in 1964.
