The New York Islanders have acquired forwards Kyle Palmieri and Travis Zajac from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forwards A.J. Greer, Mason Jobst, their 2021 1st round and a conditional 2022 4th round pick. New Jersey retains 50% of both Palmieri and Zajac's salaries. Lou does it again. Doug Wilson needs to go to Lou’s class on trades and bring Wilson JR along with him. Actually DW's deadline trades have been the Sharks' smallest problem. |

Quick thought, that's a good deal for the Isles. More depth and a decent scoring winger to gear up for a playoff run. They're a sneaky cup favourite, people don't talk about them but according to recent history, betting against them versus the Pens or Caps would be silly right?

WTF, don't help anyone who won't help you. This will not turnout well All though cap space is at a premium for a lot of teams, it could yield a high pick or two. Hopefully this draft is a little deep. I'm more worried about what is on the horizon... The expansion draft, hopefully DW has a couple things left hidden up his sleeve because from the looks of it, he is going to need it to get past the exp draft. |

Yeah after signing that deal he fell off a cliff but it is interesting why he was part of the package deal (seems like he would have been prime to be one of the only players exposed to Seattle). Foligno is someone I wish the Sharks could add but with his contract expiring at the end of the season receiving the 4th rnd pick is the safe bet with the situation. I hope this is opening the door for more moves that could be paid with a 2nd or 3rd round pick from someone else. Or maybe it's DW's was of patting a back now, and getting a pat after the playoffs/Draft/Exp Draft. |
