Brent Burns 1 goal, 2 assists, -2. Sharks lose 5-4 Not a good look eh Sharks giving up way too many goals

The sharks don’t have a goal scoring problem. They have goals allowed problem. First to three is the way I remember it.

Saw a great graphic on hfboards. Every one of the Blues' shots were from inside the "house" and mostly in the top floor and attic - i.e., within a triangle with its base vertices at the faceoff dots and the apex at the goal. (The walls of the house drop from the faceoff dots to half way to the blue line.) Almost none of SJ's shots were anywhere in the house. SJ has no ability to move the puck into high reward scoring areas. Hasn't had that for years. They are going nowhere until they do.

Actually it started when Brent Burns showed up. They have no one that will get down in front of the goalie and mix it up. As for the defense it's score first, play defense later

Doesn’t matter how much they score because they can’t play D and don’t have a goalie that can stop the puck.
