I get ya, I'm defending Jones but I cannot disagree that he hasn't been trash either. I really liked the 1a/1b they tried to do with Dubby it just so happened the team shit the bed on him to and he really didn't get a fair shake. At least he (Dubby) didn't deserve the GAA he got from the sharks this season lol. The 1a/1b scenario is far more likely unless somehow DW can trade Jones and get a starter somehow. I think they buy him out, sign a veteran FA and roll with Korenar or Melnichuk in a 1A/1B role like you said. I actually hope they just roll with the young guys and play whoever is doing better but I know that won’t happen. I'd like to see what the young guys have as well, not just some meaningless games at the end of a shit season. Unless somehow a stud goalie becomes available through FA or trade of course. I know Anderson is probably looking for a change of scenery but there might be too many question marks at this stage in his career. |

The whole structure of the Sharks from the GM to the team to the players and their salaries is a disaster. They needed a complete rebuild two years ago but as long as Dougie can convince the owner that they can do it on the fly they'll never get to another Stanley Cup final until he's gone. So batten down the hatches, there's a lot of hurt for Sharks fans in the future

But it was NOT a bad contract at the time it was offered. On the other hand, Karlsson was a bad defenseman and a bad offensive contributor at the time Doug hung that boat anchor on the team for 8 years and a hundred million dollars. |

He is only 33 and doesn't play an overly physical game that would destroy his body. I really hope he does some soul searching this offseason (He already publicly stated he wont waive his NTC) and find his game again because aside from a couple select games the past two years he has been dogshit. Or trade to get Justin Braun back lol maybe pickles just misses his buddy. |
