Always good to see the Bruins lose. I hope NYI wins the cup. It’d be pretty hilarious after losing Tavares to the TOR and than them losing out in the first round.

What are the chances we soon have eichel in teal with a forever contract? Better or worse than the chance DW gets kicked out of town. Or promoted to senior advisor I'd say the chances are way better for Eichel. If DW was going to be fired I'm sure it would have happened when the season ended. I'd be way more excited for Eichel if the sharks were an Eichel away from being a legit contender. I'd bet the sharks rebound faster than the sabres back into the playoffs but the current roster needs a lot more work than that. Plus Eichel's injury makes it a bit murky but could also cheapen the deal.

Don’t forget the Islanders are playing without their captain Anders Lee and Oliver Wahlstrom. And Bruce Cassidy is still whinning that the Bruins were hurt. GO ISLANDERS

Maker is going to be a star, if not now. Both those teams can skates circles around the Sharks.

Both those teams can skates circles around the Sharks. Not only that but another area I noticed watching the other teams (real evident in Carolina) is that a bunch of teams make these quick passes that comes from a deke or half circle move or spin etc. and its tape to tape passes/correct hand especially on the break outs, that seems to speed the break out and rush into the O-zone up so much that the sharks would be dusted even though except Cooter the rest of the team are not "slow" individual players.

Fuck Colorado even more than fuck Vegas. A woke team that tanked carefully for several seasons deserves it.
Wishful for Habs - Isles final "Forty Years After" style.

What are the chances we soon have eichel in teal with a forever contract? Better or worse than the chance DW gets kicked out of town. Or promoted to senior advisor Lance Lysowski of the Buffalo News answers a few questions, the first one is about Jack Eichel, My prediction is that the Sabres will grant Eichel permission to talk to teams that are interested in trading for him. This dialogue will be necessary because any team acquiring Eichel must feel comfortable with his preference to have the particular surgery he is seeking to repair his injured neck. Allowing those sides to talk is a sign of good faith, and the Sabres also should provide all available medical information. Then it will be time to field substantive trade offers. This process will need to move quickly, or the Sabres will find themselves in a hearing in which Eichel's camp can state its case to an independent arbitrator. It's better to pass the problem on to another team if the Sabres decide Eichel isn't part of their future. If another team supports Eichel's decision and offers the appropriate trade package, the Sabres will complete the deal. If not, you might see this drag on for a while. Neither side is going to change its mind. In the end, an exit seems inevitable.

"Put it this way, three of the final four teams left this year are the same as last year: the [New York] Islanders, [Tampa Bay] Lightning and Golden Knights. The fourth team: whichever team Corey Perry is on. Last year it was Dallas; this year it's Montreal. That's the common thread.
"It's no coincidence. The guy's a winner."
-Pat Morris, agent for Corey Perry.

Hey Doug Wilson, Look
from Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun,
- What exactly does a general manager do and how much does he matter in the National Hockey League?
That discussion came up once again as Lou Lamoriello’s New York Islanders moved on in the Stanley Cup playoffs and his former teams in New Jersey and Toronto plod along uncomfortably.
Being a GM is not only about acquiring players, negotiating contracts and trading acumen. That’s the way it’s perceived from the outside. Those are parts of the job.
But building a foundation — that’s the most important factor in performance.
I remember having a conversation with an Islanders front-office employee just months after Lamoriello had taken over on Long Island. He said he couldn’t believe the difference in the group from before Lamoriello arrived as GM. He talked about team structure, the hiring of Barry Trotz as coach, the way in which everything was geared to team, the notion of one team, one goal....
