Bettman’s Golden Shower boys get away with murder all the time. Let’s see if Massushit gets fined You know there wont even be a whisper about it. Just like when he left his feet to hit Simek and then proceeded to cross-check to the ribs to a player in a vulnerable position after the first dirty hit. Not a word from DPS and they have continued to be garbage. Dept of player safety hasn't said anything this morning so nothing will happen at this point except a lot of bitching by the Frenchies in Montreal

Don't get me wrong I absolutly love the game of hockey and I would still be playing today if it was because of covid shutdown but the political b.s./woke crap that has snuck into the game the last couple seasons has me thinking really hard about continuing to watch the game.

That letter James Dolan sent was more embarrassing than the DOPS not suspending Wilson. The NHL would be more embarrassing still if they let owners/organizations criticize them in such a petulant manner with impunity. I don’t disagree about the woke stuff. World would be a better place if wokeism disappeared.

from Mark Spector of Sportsnet,
If you thought Peter DeBoer was panicking when he made the call to sit Marc-Andre Fleury and play his backup in Game 4, Robin Lehner would like to thank you for your support.
Because in the hours before Lehner’s first star performance on Sunday night in Montreal, Lehner didn’t just lounge around watching the final round of the U.S. Open.
Instead, he did what most professional athletes would list as the very last thing they would do in his situation: he combed through Twitter to see what the hockey world was saying about his impending start.
“Not many people know,” Lehner began after a thrilling, 2-1 overtime win, “that I come to the game four hours early. I sat for two hours and watched you guys talk s— on Twitter about me, to get me motivated.
“I don’t care what people think,” he added, though his actions abjectly dispute that declaration.

Both goalies played well in allowing one regulation goal. Price would like the one in the third back but still need to score more than one to win most the time. Now does Pete stick with the hot hand? I think he does.

The San Jose Sharks took care of some offseason business as it was announced they re-signed winger Matt Nieto to a two year extension.
The Sharks are trying to find their way back to contention and hope Nieto can be a compliment piece who pushes himself up the lineup. General manager Doug Wilson met with the media on Monday and had this to say about Nieto's game:
Matt brings a consistent, veteran presence to our lineup, and his speed and defensive awareness have made him a valuable part of our penalty-killing unit. Additionally, his ability to chip in offensively gives our coaching staff a versatile option in crafting our lineup from night to night. This season over the course of 28 games, Nieto chipped in with five goals and two assists. Pierre LeBrun of TSN mentioned the deal is worth $850,000 per season.
Look for some more moves out of Wilson and the Sharks. There's been some speculation brewing they could be looking to make some noise this summer to try and rejuvenate the fan base.
And try to keep his job - Fugazi

Ah the ol get a veteran player that is way past his prime. Wanna-be fans get excited. Us old timers go Good Grief this is terrible. Watch new veteran get injured first game out and then out for remainder of the season. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

I just meant as if DW is going to do anything of relevance! Cause he likes to sign old guys that aren't currently on the Sharks.

Fun question open to all since as a sharks fan there is nothing else to look forward to lol: What would you give or who would you be willing to part with for Jack Eichel (since I assume all other 31* have at least called about him) Please keep it realistic, Labanc and a bag of pucks wont get that trade done.
