Steve Levy is a voice from my childhood. I'm happy he's back. Just need to get Gary Thorne too and I'll be all set on nostalgia avenue.

The least woke league being covered by the most woke network. I have my doubts.

Word is Thorne (who is the Orioles PxP announcer) would return to ESPN if they knocked his socks off with a big contract. Those days are over at espn. They're pinching pennies bigtime when it comes to personall

Really NHL, this is how you attract new viewers? Some internet boytoy? LOS ANGELES / NEW YORK (June 30, 2021) – The National Hockey League today announced that content creator Josh Richards will serve as a special adviser to the NHL as a “voice of the fans,” with the goal of growing the League’s youth audience. In this new advisory role, Richards will make appearances at NHL marquee events, and share creative ideas regarding future NHL events and initiatives as part of the League’s fan development efforts for the next generation. A native of Toronto, Richards grew up attending Maple Leafs games and remains an avid fan of the team and sport. “I want to thank the National Hockey League for giving me an opportunity to share my love of hockey with a whole new generation of fans,” Richards said. “I have always wanted to use my platform to educate and inspire, and I look forward to sharing my passion for hockey with millions.” A content creator and serial entrepreneur, Richards has amassed more than 40 million fans across social media channels. He will make his debut as a special adviser to the NHL on Thursday, July 1, participating in a one-on-one conversation with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman that will be available across the NHL’s social and digital channels. “We love the passion Josh has for hockey. He shares the League’s vision to engage young hockey fans,” said NHL Chief Content Officer Steve Mayer. “He relates to our players and fans and we can’t wait to hear his great ideas about how to grow our game. We look forward to working with Josh over the next year.” Send that kid to a real barbershop And "GET THE HELL OFF OF MY LAWN"

Backs against the wall, back home in Montreal, resilient group. I expect a Habs win tonight and I expect to come out and empty the tank in every way to avoid going down 3-0.
Then I expect the Bolts to win the next two games and seal the deal. But tonight should be fun for Canadiens fans. If they had a crowd I would almost consider this a slam dunk victory but we shall see.

Do you really care what Bettman has to say. The new NHL is here via Joe Haggerty of Boston Hockey Now, If that wasn’t enough, the NHL also hired a TikTok creator named Josh Richards as a “special advisor” to help promote the league to the younger generation, and the social media influencer uttered “F#$% the Habs” during his first day on the job. Richards has over 25 million followers on TikTok and will be featured at NHL marque events, so perhaps he’ll get a chance to explain his feelings on the Canadiens at a later date. “I grew up a Leafs fan. If I cheer for the Habs, my parents disown me,” said Richards during a TikTok video, prior to Wednesday night’s Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, that has since been made private. “It’s not a good look. It’s not the move. [Expletive] the Habs.”... Well, the NHL might disown you after putting one of their Original Six franchises on blast on your first day on the job, bud. File it all under it perhaps being a bad idea for the NHL to try being the hip league with the TikTok presence. And then there's this

The logical next step is ads on jerseys, which is something Dundon and other owners are hoping will happen sooner than later.
“Look, I’d be on the very, very extreme end,” Dundon said. “Like for me if we look like Formula 1 or NASCAR, that’d be fine with me. I think the league is constantly looking at how do they maintain tradition plus maximize revenue and figure out the balance? And I think they’re doing a good job of it. But yeah, if it were left to me, it would probably be a good subset of people that didn’t like what I did.”
Tom Dundon, owner of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Ads on jersey look ridiculous and you sound outrageously greedy.

The first time Tampa won the SC, God was so outraged that a Florida team won it that the biggest hurricane in US history went all the way across the state of Florida to shred Tampa/St. Pete. It went out into the Gulf of Mexico, turned around, and hit Tampa again! Just deserts.

Montreal is not doing as good as I hoped they would. Bring on the offseason Yeah the only solace is that no matter who wins the cup, it doesn't affect SJ positioning lol. This offseason should be a whirlwind of activity once the exp. draft ends.

A change in management would sure make a difference Also not raising the damn ticket prices with this awful product of a team they put out! Someone has to pay for Wilson’s spending spree so put it on the fans

There is like 10 mil in cap space currently and I doubt Hasso will except another year out of the playoffs with the hit in ticket sales.
