That's a broken tibia guaranteed. Stamkos had a similar one a few years ago.
The Broilers deserve this to happen in the first game of the season, not last.

That was highly enjoyable, and I don't understand why we had to wait for something like a dozen games for that.

Yea, many people were speculating that he'd be out for the season at that point

I broke my tibia in a spitral fracture in four places when I was a kid downhill ski training. No fun.

I must admit that was an emotional goodbye. So many good years and memories. Both kids checked in.

Ok, so Sharks end up as #2 seed in the Western Conference. All of you knuckleheads, including me would have gladly accepted that outcome at seasons start - but MAN what a fkn roller-coaster ride its been!
- #65 didn't look bad at all for his first game in almost 6 weeks, didn't leave the ice limping after 40 minutes so Sharks now have THAT going for them. Cautious optimism sprouts for Mr. Eggshells.
- Jones looked strong last night, especially in the 3rd period when he shut the door on Avs come-back attempt. Big mental boost for him heading into Wednesday's game 1 (fingers crossed).
- Noticed no cast on Meier's left hand when he showed up in street clothes after the game. Ooooh!
- Pavs looks ok, JT is a stud. Kane is ready, Hertl healthy. Burns finishes hot and ready to go.
Shit, now I'm all optimistic for game 1 on Wednesday. I guess I'll never learn.

I must admit that was an emotional goodbye. So many good years and memories. Both kids checked in. Well done, Danville! Your seats have brought hundreds of thrills, gallons of beer, a few pucks and smiles for dozens of fans (including me) over the seasons thanks to your sports generosity. Hope you get to more than a few games next season as a free-agent fan. I can gladly set you up in 117 row 12 next season, keep that in mind. <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 18.039999999999964px; height: 2.9200000000000017px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_32427160" scrolling="no" width="18.039999999999964" height="2.9200000000000017"></iframe> <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 18.04px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 847px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_59453671" scrolling="no" width="18.039999999999964" height="2.9200000000000017"></iframe> <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 18.04px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 87px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_10372764" scrolling="no" width="18.039999999999964" height="2.9200000000000017"></iframe> <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 18.04px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 847px; top: 87px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_99619385" scrolling="no" width="18.039999999999964" height="2.9200000000000017"></iframe>

I too am very optimistic that Karlsson looked like he didn't miss much of a beat. And I'm hoping he spent about 3 weeks more than necessary just rehabing that groin so that it is better than where it was even to start the season. Jones has also been solid outside of the cumulative 15 minutes that constitutes beginnings of periods. I think he can hang and if he gets hot we are gold. The d is still a question mark and as a team they need to stop the odd man rushes. Not sure if Karlssom is a net positve (helps neutral xone and transition) or negative (his own wandering in the zone) here. Time will tell. I think we are on shaky footing as an injury anywhere in the lineup and especially on D (evenn if its to a number 5/6 guy) means we are icing a dicey back end. Still, I hope they take their couple wins against Vegas to heart that they can beat these fucks, and the 5+ goal smackdowns as a sign that they can't be over confident.

I don't like this team's structure defensively. They're positionally suspect especially with gap control. Lunging poke checks won't get it done for four rounds in the playoffs. The odd man rushes are a concern and the reliance on the goaltending to continually bail out their poor defensive zone play are glaring issues for this team to straighten out in the next couple of days. The third period last night was good to see though. They definitely appeared engaged. So there is that to build on...

I am very concerned with the all too often defensive lapses that give Shark opponents all too many grade a scoring chances. This has been the case for much of the season.
