So I watched a recap of the "hit" from Labanc and subsequent "fight" with Mackinnon. I have lost so much respect for Mackinnon this season it is ridiculous. Labanc is fighting for the puck the entire way, no follow-though into the boards, tries a stick-check, little bump and gets out of the way. In no way should he have to fight for that hit. And of course Mackinnon will pick on a small guy, in no way would he approach Kane in the same way, what a vagina he has become.

Just because someone gets hit does not mean you must fight. There are circumstances where (despite Bettmen trying to get rid of it) fighting is necessary. This instance was not one of them. I guarantee if Kane had done the same exact hit, Mackinnon wouldn't have done anything. |
