If the "other" allegations come up empty the league just does not want to know. Or maybe he really didn't do any of those things and has a very vindictive soon to be ex-wife? I've worked with more then a few guys that have gone thru some pretty heavy shit because of their ex-wife's. Or maybe he is just a POS. True, but his past problems muddy the waters. She MAY BE a POS…we know he is for sure. |

Anna, though, says he did in fact do those things ... spelling out the allegations in new court docs, according to the San Jose Mercury News, that were filed in Santa Clara County earlier this week as part of her divorce case against Evander. In the docs, Anna claims Evander forced her to have oral sex with him in March 2019 -- just after a funeral for their baby daughter. Anna alleges the San Jose Sharks player then forced her to have intercourse again days later ... writing in the docs that Evander told her when she denied his advances, "you can’t rape your wife. "Evander again forced me, against my will," she said in the documents, "to have sexual intercourse with him even though I had not healed." Anna claims Evander also roughed her up after one of his playoff games against the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
In the docs, Anna says after Evander had found out she had been drinking before the game with some of the other players' wives -- he snapped.
She says after the game, which the Sharks had lost, the 30-year-old winger, "began screaming at me and punching me on the upper side of my head above the hairline."She added, "Evander grabbed my blouse forcefully and pushed me into the wall of the room, slapping me across my face. Evander was screaming at me and threatened to hurt me even worse if I 'disobeyed' him and had any drinks without him." Of course I have no idea about any of this but you would think the league would just have to contact certain Sharks wives to verify this.......... Here is why this is sketchy as hell. They just had a court hearing in the divorce a few months ago where his wife was seeking 100% custody of the kid. Kane wanted 50/50. At no time during that argument did the wife bring up allegations of physical abuse or that Kane had punched the baby in the face as she now claims. That would have been the time to raise these allegations. Throw on top of that that she made the gambling accusations and then refused to talk to the NHL investigators. Sounds like a pissed off wife looking to bury the soon to be ex-husband. |

NHL says the gambling accusations are false (like Kane adamantly said too) and an hour later or whatever she comes up with this. Makes you raise an eyebrow at least. But you gotta take it seriously and look into it. Like danville said, if these claims are true you’d think there’s some other people who know that they NHL/police can talk to. |

Curtis McElhinney has announced his retirement from professional hockey at the age of 38.
McElhinney played parts of 13 NHL seasons with the Calgary Flames, Anaheim Ducks, Phoenix Coyotes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning, putting up a 94-95-20 record with a 0.907 SV% and 2.83 GAA.
McElhinney helped the Lightning to the 2020 and 2021 Stanley Cup.
Internationally, McElhinney represented Team Canada 🇨🇦 the 2018 IIHF World Hockey Championship

With Hertl's injury past, what he's publicly stated about his desire to win, and how far away the Sharks are from winning, makes the most sense to trade him now for future assets. Hertl also said he would be willing to do a hometown discount. In all honesty I wouldn't be surprised if him and Doug work something out to the effect of trading him for some high picks and then sign him after this season is over. While he struggled last season, for several years before the success of the team was through him. If he was out of the lineup the team sucked. Some of the other forwards needed to step up in his absence. I wish I could say the top six need to step up if the team is going to have any wins this year but the reality is the entire team needs to step up after the shit show the last (2) seasons have been. |

It is on the Sharks Audio Network. I am a little confused about where the games will be this year. The schedule doesn't say NBC Sports California. It's 2021 and Silicon Valley's hockey team's audio broadcast only works on the website. I give up. |
