Well as far as I can tell the Sharks won't be on local (Bay Area) TV this year unless it's a national TV broadcast There goes my nap time. 🙄

Whoa, this is big news
NEW YORK/TORONTO (Oct. 7, 2021) – The National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) announced today that goalie Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens will be away from the team while voluntarily taking part in the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program.
There will be no further comment.
Bergevin says Price away for minimum 30 days but “could be longer.” Obviously, not a set timetable
Said he found out yesterday and it “caught me off-guard.”

www.youtube.com/indexI remember him at the World Juniors, it was pretty clear he was more physically mature than almost everyone there. Not a skilled guy but can play heavy.

Some teams named their first three selections for the Olympic teams.
The hockey stats twitter is outraged Bowman selected Seth Jones over Adam Fox. The hockey woke twitter is outraged Bowman selected Patrick "the rapist" Kane.
But the funny things are: The Canadian team picked McDavid, Crosby and Pietrangelo. The pea-based pasta didn't work for MacKinnon yet again. The Swedish team picked Landeskog, Hedman and Zibanejad. That $11.5M contract has shined yet again on Doug Wilson. I wonder if EK65 is even selected at all.

I was thinking the same thing. After two covid years you would think all the NHL/AHL franchises would be doing all they could to advertise and hype up the "return to normal schedule" season. Broadcasting everything to include SJ sharkie's drive to the rink lol. But no we were left in the dark, no preseason game, no skills showcase. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't care about preseason games, but this year I want to watch some regular hockey. I'm still trying to figure out how we'll watch Sharks games this year. I understand Center Ice might blackout some local games this year. As for the local stations CSNCA & CSNBA I don't know if they'll even be broadcasting the games this year. This whole ESPN thing is turning into one streaming clusterfuck. I won't pay to watch Hockey on my tiny phone. Fuck that Espn and TNT

Thanks for getting it straight from the horse's mouth. I thought they were done with NBCCA. I just can't figure out why their website shows all the canadian staions covering the Sharks but not the local station here. Maybe Becher hasn't been up to date with what's happening this season and he's wrong.

It's not like NBCSCA's site is much help. That may be the worst website ever created.

Quietly surprised to see Gambrell on waivers. He was quite improved last year and I think was one of the few who actually exceeded expectations of him. Oh well, guess that means they found better options. Things move fast in the NHL.

Maybe he didn't improve more over the summer.

Sharks are beating the shit out of Vegas. They look good. Eklund is awesome. Key take-aways from the game... 1. Thank God AZ ownership is a bunch of cheap fucks. 2. If Eklund stays up on the sharks, please sit him any game against LA. He may not be 4 goal game good, but he may be.

I haven’t watched any games in preseason, just highlights. 2 takeaways . 1 Eklund is going to be a Stud as long as we don’t rush him! 2 It’s nice watching a game/highlight and not seing Jones flop around like a fish out of water!
