GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have acquired defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere, a 2022 second round draft choice and a 2022 seventh round draft choice from the Philadelphia Flyers. The 28-year-old Gostisbehere recorded 9-11-20 and six penalty minutes (PIM) in 41 games with Philadelphia in 2020-21. He also scored five power-play goals and nine power-play points this season. “We are very pleased to acquire Shayne,” said Armstrong. “He is a very good offensive defenseman and an excellent skater. He will be a solid addition to our blueline this season and will be a key power play player for us.” Salary dumpster will always be a dumpster. You said it.
