Little Joe still has the hands
Joe Pavelski (2-2—4) recorded his fourth outing of four-plus points in 2021-22 to reach the 20-goal mark for the 12th season of his career and surpass 50 points to help the Stars hand the Avalanche their first regulation loss in 62 days, as well as their first at Ball Arena in 113 days.
* Pavelski (37 years, 219 days) improved his season totals to 21-31—52 (47 GP) and became the third Stars/North Stars player to record a 20-goal season at age 37 or older (age at time of 20th goal), joining Minnesota’s Dean Prentice (39 years, 166 days in 1971-72 & 40 years, 125 days in 1972-73) and Mike Modano (37 years, 297 days in 2007-08).

Just learned that one of my son's hockey friends and former Santa Clara Blackhawk, Freddy Olofsson, is on the Sweden olympic team. Haven't seen a minute of Olympics so far but I will have to check out their game with Russia.

Watched some of the women's gold medal game last night. And holy shit, the the woman's US team's power play is more pathetic then the Sharks. LOL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have acquired forward Nick Ritchie and a conditional second round draft choice from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forward Ryan Dzingel and defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin.
“We are excited to have Nick join our roster,” said Armstrong. “He is a big, tough, strong winger who will add depth and physicality to our forward group.

Dzingel had a couple decent years in OTT, bounced around since then and hasn’t done much. Not expecting much. Pretty telling when you’re shuffling around the likes of these guys hoping to turn the team around.

Any comments on this move? Really curious what they saw in Pederson anyway. Played the most unremarkable hockey there is. Another Andrew Murray, remember him? Yeah he had 2-3 games in row near the start that it seemed like he was better than just a ghost 4 liner.... then poof ghosted. |
