Not sure how he can distance himself from Putin after all the history. Not defending him or anything, his message about the war was really soft but has anybody thought about the consequences he would face if he did come out and denounce Putin? He has family that still lives in Russia. Just food for thought. The issue for him is he is far closer to Putin (at least in public appearances) than any other Russian sports star. At least that I know of.

At least that I know of. He has been the biggest Russian star for a couple decades now. He may not have had a choice, have you seen Putin play in KHL games? It's wild. I think the only way to get to the bottom of it, is to go to his house and see if there is any Putin paraphernalia lol.

He has family that still lives in Russia. Just food for thought. Nobody asked him to found "Team Putin". Quoting a classic soviet play, "Everyone had to study this, but why did you have to become the valedictorian?" Now, we're aware me might not have a way out to save his face, well, good riddance. It's not like he'd be facing poverty and hunger, just an unaccomplished potential record. He doesn't even have to go back, just retire out of shame.

It looks like Josh Norris for Erik Karlsson one for one would be a trade slightly favoring Ottawa.

Even though he was a Duck, I always appreciated Manson's game. He played hard but clean, good add for any contending team.

Landeskog goes in IR, next day Colorado gets Manson in a trade.
I'm guessing Landeskog will be fully healed by the time the playoffs roll around.

Good move for the Avs. They cant go down nearly again....can they? I predict that none of the high profile players will make it to the finals. Oilers/Avs/Leafs all get knocked out before that. Oilers may not even make it to round one.

So The Stars sign Pavs for another year. I wonder why they would do such a thing when DW would not even give him a third year (this year). Maybe we should compare him to a young very high profile league superstar.
Mitch Marner 23 goals 39 assists 62 points Joe Pavelski 23 goals 37 assists 60 points
Fire DW!

DW gambled the tank would finally empty in year three, age 37 and he loses BIG! Players usually decline when they lose a step, but Pavs was always slick at lower speed anyways. 22-23 season shouldn't be any different.. and DW left feeling like the dorky dude who dumps his nice girlfriend, who quickly grows taller and gets a boob job.

Not to mention the rationale for booting Pavelski was to have money for that all time superstar Erik Karlsson, 8 G 20 A -4; and that is one of his best seasons crapping on our bench.

Pavs has gotten faster with Dallas than he was with SJ, still not speedy by any means but I'd bet he would be Couture in a race and easily. Honestly I would have traded Couture away in order to keep Pavs, he was the captain but more importantly the "glue" that made the team gel.

Pavs has a year or two left but still better. Was sorry to see him go. He was no fan of Kane.....................
