NEW YORK, November 1, 2021 – New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has agreed to terms with Adam Fox on a seven-year contract extension.
“We are thrilled that we have agreed to terms with Adam on a contract extension and that he will continue to play for the team he grew up cheering for,” Drury said. “In just over two seasons, Adam has consistently shown why he is a cornerstone for our organization and one of the best players in the NHL. It has been a privilege for us, and our fans, to watch Adam showcase his ability on a nightly basis, and we are glad to have that opportunity for seven more years.”

Allegedly down to the Knights and Flames in the Eichel sweepstakes. Saw that. Flames having a good season so far and the Knights are a dumpster fire.

Sabres trade Eichel and a 2023 3rd round pick to Golden Knights for Tuch, Krebs, a 2022 1st round pick, and a 2023 2nd round pick.

Sabres trade Eichel and a 2023 3rd round pick to Golden Knights for Tuch, Krebs, a 2022 1st round pick, and a 2023 2nd round pick. That's not a lot. Tuch is barely healthier than Eichel.

God I hate the knights. Thats a steal, that would be Labanc, a nobody and a couple pics. At least the knights will be in cap hell next year (silver lining I suppose).

I don't think Gretz in his prime could have lead Buffalo on a run haha. Unless Hertl signs an extension or is traded and comes back in the off season, then there will be a big hole for a top center.

Strange that Eichel’s trade to Vegas is a move down in the standings.

They get some role guys and move on. They can begin rebuild version XXX now. What fun it must be to be a fan.....

The way Vegas players damage themselves this year, Buffalo might pick quite high with that pick, though. No, the pick is conditional, if it's in top 10, then it defers to 2022 when Vegas is supposedly going to be a healthy favorite team.

I wouldn't be surprised honestly, but I haven't heard that specifically. Eichel would have been cool but the bigger problem I suppose is dumping the Kane contract someway somehow.

Honestly its great for Eichel, the guy doesn't deserve to sit out injured an entire year because of a disagreement. But fuck Vegas! At least they have to dump a bunch of money before next season starts.

It has been strongly hinted. I am very certain there are several Sharks that do not want him back. Logan all but spelled it out at least two times in post game interviews this season.

Yeah, I know the new goalie tandem has certainly helped but it seems that Kane not being there has gave a new breath of life to the forward group.
