The size difference between the two could have been a factor, had the hit not been so late. Clearly a chip-in and Zadorov went for the hit that was beyond late. Most likely committed to the hit and didn't read the play at all. Late hit + head contact should have at least been a penalty, if not a Major, if not a game misconduct. If they are going to call a game misconduct on Florida the other night, then this is clearly way past a penalty. |

Pretty incredible they’ve stayed afloat. Any thoughts about the good start being a fluke are being put to bed by this AHL team winning, that was a tough game on the road against a good team.

Local broadcast team was very impressed with the Sharks effort here and so am I. I think there are a few factors. Last few years the team goalie play was just sub par and you just cant survive that. I also think the Kane subtraction is very much in play. They showing on the ice they are better off without him. The captain has said this multiple times. Soon DW has a big decision to make. Make no mistake the Flames are a good team and they were playing, rested in front of a home crowd they wanted to impress. This was a big win for the Sharks. |

Also I can't believe the Sharks are actually hitting open nets! Hit the post four times in the first period vs the Devils so we still have that going for us. |
