I don’t think Jumbo will get a suspension. when you look at Kucherov’s one Game suspension check, JT might get two for a headshot nowhere near the play. I agree. I think he is penalized for this. At least 1 game. It reality shouldnt be anout the injury but about the context of the hit and the targeting of the head. The play was gone and Jumbo was frustrated, saw a guy with his jead down and leaned into his shoulder. He didn't change his course or leave his feet. It was a glide by. But that was a head shot and I suspect the league gives some level of suspension.. With that said, I missed the portion of the game with the Braun hit so have no idea the hypicrisy that is ongoing and likely clouding judgement here. Sounds like that was a flat out charge and then Jumbo took a stick to the face. I hope if he gets suspended he mails a turd to Gary Bettman's desk to exercise the point that this league has turned to shit with their favoritism to LVGK.

I wish E Kane would get as mad at the scoreboard as he got at Reeves. I’m talking about professionals channeling their emotions towards the task at hand. There was no real comeback because the Sharks thought they joined the Federal league in the 3rd. Him getting dominated by a Fleury poke check was the turning point. First, I wish Jones could make a save like that. Second, that was a must score chance that got completely blown. That was EK9s chance to impact the game positively.

No way to blame NHL conspiracies or bad refs for this game...the Sharks poor defense, goal tending and overall softness that we saw quite a bit during the regular season is getting exposed more in the playoffs. Shouldn't surprise anyone who watched them much this year. In January they were unbeatable. But playoff game 3 is an absolute struggle when your top player of the night is 39 years old. They got banged up. Simek did a ton for the blueline and him going down completely changed the composure of the team. Having a guy in there you can't play (Ryan) so you are now skating broke groin EK65 25 minutes a night is not a winning combo. I suspect Meier's hand was about 70% coming in and is now around 30%. Pickles is now also out, so we effectively have Dillon as the only reliable shut down type guy + Braun as the over the hill shut down guy. From there it goes from turn over machine Burns/Karlsson to just outclassed guys like Heed and Ryan. I called it back in February but Simek going down was the game changer this season, unfortunately. And our blueline is no where near deep enough to make up for that. If EK65 was healthy and Vlassic was in wed have a shot, but any additional injury as has happened is now sinking them.

The national announcers praised him for this. Like. He took 2 players that didn't touch puck completely out of play for 15 seconds. Thats interference x2. How the fuck does no one see this? Also isn't that Holding? There are a couple things you could call. Bottom line is this should have been 2 at least.

By rule it is 100% a suspension. I think if they watched the entire game they will decide no suspension based on: The sharks got mugged all game Jumbo is a elder statesman with a good reputation The Braun bad hit

To me it seemed like one of those cases where Jumbo got frustrated due to the reffing inconsistency (missed head shot and high stick) so he took a liberty. More often than not this ends up costing you. Looks like so far though there is no ringing phone for him which is a good sign. Can't believe even the missed nonsense I saw in the second and third. Blatant high stick on EK65 in the 3rd as the sharks were mounting their 4 minutes of solid play. I know the sharks waste most of their PP opportunities, but it is hard to argue that the outcomes could be different with more consistent calling. Especially in Game 2 which is always a critical gamr in a series.

Holy Fuck! I can't believe we're getting dominated on the ice yet again. Are the VGK now to NHL what the Patriots are to the NFL? I'm sure the 30 other Teams that suffered long before making a deep playoff run feel the same way. It's time to rebuild this whole Team, starting at the top. Unfortunately We have very few high end draft picks for the next few Years. It's not premature to start looking at the offseason. There's big questions that loom. EK65 Jumbo Pavs Timo Melker I'm missing someone, but don't care to go look.

I turned the game off after the Sharks again gave up a goal in the first minute of the period. At this point this falls on the coaching staff for not having these guys ready to start the period. It is absolutely fucking ridiculous.
I have zero faith that this team will win another game in this series at this point.

If he is even willing to re-up with this franchise at this point. In addition to who you have listed: Donskoi is a UFA Lebanc is a RFA Haley is a UFA Heed is a UFA Ryan is a RFA The Sharks also have $1.4 in dead cap space next year from the Paul Martin buy-out. The boat anchor around the Sharks neck is Jones' contract for the next 5 years at 5.75. In addition he also has a no movement clause where he can submit a whopping 3 teams he is willing to be traded to.

I'm not familiar with the cap system. Could we buy out jones and if so how much dead cap money would that count agains our cap? I really don't think Jones can turn it around "I'm not talking just this series, I'm talking for the length of the contract" It has to have some affect or is it "effect" on the team, knowing your goalie can't give you that 1 or 2 big saves a game you need to stay in the game. Granted 2 of Stones Goals nobody would have stopped.

Granted 2 of Stones Goals nobody would have stopped. I don't see it happening. If the Sharks did try and buy out the contract they would be paying him until 2028-2029 with a range between $1.45 to $2.9 in dead cap space a year. It would only save them $8.5 mil a year over the long run. If the Sharks could find someone on his 3 team list to consider a trade they would likely have to retain a good chunk of salary to make it happen.

EK65 is now a huge risk, somebody will be willing to take that risk but I dont think I would.

I agree that this specific issue is not a coaching issue...but great coaching can produce results. Look what Trotz has done with the Isles defense...that is a “system” change and coaching is mostly responsible in that case, IMO. That being said, I don’t know if this group of Sharks players is “coachable” enough to make that type of sweeping change.

No way I'm spending good money to ultimately watch those fuckers celebrate on our ice.

The Sharks would have been better off this year with Tierney and DeMelo in the lineup. DW took his shot and it has been a huge miss due to injury.

I'm showing the entire management staff the door! This organeyezation needs a full and complete transfusion. I don't want any chance of this regime proliferating into the next. I'm fucking tired of being playoff fodder. I'd rather not make the playoffs. I'd rather see a 93-94 type team again. THAT was some exciting shit!
