. Is this the worst of the last three seasons? With out a doubt it is I would say last year was worse. The team clearly had some bad culture, not sticking up for each other and whatnot, and the post-deadline collapse was brutal to watch. They had a chance and folded hard. This year’s team didn’t have high expectations and definitely has a better feel to it than last year. I would take this team over that team every day.

Gotta agree things about the culture have changed with Evander Kane's departure. But there's a lot to do before they get back to being a winning team

But there's a lot to do before they get back to being a winning team Yep, for the first time in years the team has an actual 3rd line and 4th line. The second line is just about trash and the first is good but I think chemistry could be better if Barabanov was on a different line. He has been pretty good, just something is a miss and unfortunately the guy he had instant chemistry with turned out to be the fuckwad Kane. The guys being plugged into the second line are at their ceiling 3rd line. Unless Labanc comes back and has a resurgence then there needs to some bodies moved out/in through trade/free agency. But there is defiantly a culture change now that Kane is gone and for the better. I hope Middleton sticks around but cant blame the guy if he wants to move on.

I hear the name Sturm and the Sharks are playing the Avalanche and all I can think of is 'if Marco hadn't broken his ankle against the Avs back in '04 the Sharks might've won it all'. Parker being out too hurt 'em. It was a different time back then but Sturm was a big loss. I think the same thing!! That Team had a lot of Heart and I've always said that if Sturm wasn't hurt, we would have Won the Big Shiny thing!

Went to the Game last Night, first game I've been to since game 7 of the Vegas series. The Sharks played like shit for the first two periods. It's obvious they have already checked out and want to save their body's for the future. There were many times they could have smoked one of the Avs players and didn't. Vlassic comes to mind on one in the 2nd period behind our net. The entertainment in between whistles is getting better. lol The 3rd period was actually prettty good, if they would have sat Burns, we might have tied the game!

Very similar to what happens here. No 11M contracts though.
