Thinking they’re physically weaker but mentally much stronger after that series. Must feel good to get that monkey off their backs. If they’re not too beat up, seems like it would be a good thing to have faced and overcome adversity like this early in the playoffs. Confidence boost if nothing else.

Guys, I gotta tell ya, after the 2nd intermission, I was depressed. Like most of you.
Then Pavs got hurt, and I didn't think there was gonna be a penalty.
I hadn't started drinking yet. Now was the time.
I had stopped the recording of the game, and I was live, as I was most of this game.
I come up, and it starts. I remember back to a time in the early 90's....but the exact game escapes me, was it a Kings game? or was it the Canadians? and a 5 minute was called and it turned the entire series,
I make a mental note to investigate that tomorrow.
Holy shit, goal #2 - yes, this is what happened back them, fuck something special might happen!

Geezus Mary and Joseph we just went up 4-3, neighbors are scared, but nor as much as me!

MOTHERFU=KER!!!! I'll be damned, there it is, the game that we have waited for!
So yeah, at this point I'm a little drunk, and not able to sleep, and my neighbors who aren't hockey fans have all texted congrats to me because my voice is horse from yelling and the windows are all open because it's so warm tonight. we may never witness anything again as great as we saw tonight, but they did it. tonight, they did it. Foe Pavs, for us, for themselves - we know it can happen.
It'll be tough with our injuries going forward, but when I mentioned this to my wife, she said yeah, but they might get them too.
So good night my Shark friends, and lets keep the faith!

A friend of mine who does not watch hockey was at the game but left right beforehand to "beat traffic" and didn't believe me when I called him. I give him shit about it still. |

Vegas plays their game by constantly interfering, holding, tripping, and cross-checking - generally away from the puck. Refs don't want to call penalties away from the puck in the playoffs. They also seem to think that both teams are equally guilty of cheating, so they let a lot of things go. But Vegas cheats soooo much. Part of the reason the Sharks lacked success on the power play in this game (before the major) was because all the Knights interference and holding takes away much of the man advantage. Also the Sharks' faceoffs were terrible. But to my point, the more Vegas players get away with the cheap shots, the more bold their cheap shots get. And they got away with a lot of cheap shots. Eventually it ended up with the play that severely injured Pavelski. I first thought it was an accident, but one of the angles suggests Eaken and Stasny knew what they were doing. Sadly, it happens. Perhaps some of you will recall a game several years ago - I think it was against the Blues in a playoff series. One Blues player skated by Selanne and ripped off his glove. The next players skated by and slashed him on the hand, opening up a giant cut on his hand. A coordinated effort to take out a game-changing player. The way Vegas plays hockey this series should have been chock full of 5 on 3 opportunities for the Sharks. The way Vegas "wins" games disgusts me. |

No bueno... Game 7 is no time to go to sleep in your own end. Somebody slap the shit out of Goodrow, stat!! Post holds up. Good to see Goodrow get the GWG in OT after having a very tough game earlier. His time on the pine proved beneficial. He had the legs to make that play. |

Just couldn't watch the game, then I couldn't handle not knowing what the score was and looked, FUCK 3-0!! Didn't any body tell them it's game 7?? Turned off phone and started thinking well if a 3 goal lead is really the worse lead in hockey please let it be true tonight. Then waited till a little after ten and checked phone HOLY FUCK tied 4-4 in OT. Then get a text from my kid FUCK YA!!!! quickly check phone HOLY SHIT, they won!Thank you Sharks for sending those fuckers packing, now pack yer shit and git vegas!

After his typical mid-game benching, Ryan had a pretty good game, particularly in OT where he had some solid shifts.
Radil brainfarted his way out of the lineup...what did he have, four shifts maybe? Five tops??

Five tops?? They need to figure out their depth. We can't keep skating 4/5 d and 10 forwards. If Radil ain't the man Gambrell may need a shot. |
