Calgary missing out on playoffs is a travesty. Riding Markstrom did it. Also 17 ot losses? It’s crazy

The Sharks finish the 2022-23 season at 22-44-16.
They will finish 29th or 30th in the league standings, and have the third- or fourth-best lottery odds.

Huberdeau has the single biggest point decline in history, something like 60 points worse than last year. Ouch. Can’t imagine Sutter’s back after this.

Still rooting for a CBJ win tonight would be dope and bump us up a spot

Too bad Sharks cant even tank right!

Bettman wants that franchise relevant

Right now Jenner and Roslovic are out of their capacity. But they decided to win a rivalry game at the worst possible time. With an AHL squad not dissimilar to the one Sharks have been fielding.

The Barracuda failed to make Calder Cup playoffs. That's top 7 out of 10 in the division, top 23 out of 32 in the league.
The Cleveland Monsters aren't doing any better.

Last in the League, fire the Coach. But he did help the team get the best odds at winning the draft lottery
Press release
The Ducks announced today they will not renew the contract of head coach Dallas Eakins. Eakins recently completed his fourth season as head coach of the Ducks and eighth season with the organization, serving as head coach of the San Diego Gulls in the American Hockey League (AHL) from 2015-19.
"We thank Dallas for his eight years with the organization as head coach of both the Ducks and Gulls," said Ducks owner Henry Samueli. "Susan and I are especially proud of his commitment to the community in both Anaheim and San Diego, which included countless charitable initiatives. We know Dallas will succeed in his future endeavors, as character people often do."

via the Washington Capitals,
The Washington Capitals and head coach Peter Laviolette have agreed to mutually part ways, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today. Laviolette, whose contract expires on June 30, will not return as the Capitals head coach next season.
Laviolette was the 19th head coach in franchise history and led the club to a 115-78-27 record from 2020-23.

Now with the season "officially" over, who stays and who needs to go? Is the 10 million buy out cost worth it to get rid of Vlasic? And is Reimer our best option for a goalie?

I'd personally chip in to get rid of Vlasic. Can't stand him. It's clear Labanc has fallen out of favour and needs a change of scenery. He might have negative value with his contract and dip in play. They'll probably have to attach a pick to him to get rid of him but his time has past. Simek and Lindbohm would be the other two guys I'd look to move to make room for younger players, but again probably have close to negative value at this point but it would be about 5M in salary to clear. Other than that, I wouldn't qualify Zetterlund or Svechnikov.

Of course the goal is still to ice a worse team next year. Could be accomplished with a single trade!

Personally, I feel he overplays the puck and gets out of position to much, but is he our best option or do we buy his ass out to and bring up another goalie from the Cuda?

He's already an FA and I don't see him being resigned. I wouldn't resign him either. Probably find another cheap option to tandem with Kahkonnen, who is just keeping the net warm for whatever young guy proves himself (Chrona, Mann, Gaudreau, etc).
