Pavs returns? My guess is no but certainly possible. Entire team needs to show up at opening face off and finish this series off. Jones has given them more than a fighting chance and I expect that to continue. Stand or fall boys! State your case tonight.

Get the puck out of our zone Burns. Sustained forechecking. Hit someone. Will Labanc turn into Justin Williams 2.0? Hope so. This should be our Year. GO SHARKS!!!

No matter what happens with Pavelski, the Sharks will need better performances from several of their other forwards who have been mostly invisible this series. San Jose was supposed to have the better depth up front but that hasn’t been the case so far.
Joe Thornton and Kevin Labanc have gone five straight games without a point, Evander Kane and Marcus Sorensen haven’t recorded a point for four straight games and the fourth line has generated almost no offense.
Colorado has six forwards with at least two goals this series, including secondary options like J.T. Compher, Tyson Jost, Colin Wilson and Matt Nieto. The Sharks have just three with Couture’s three goals all coming in a Game 3 win, Tomas Hertl’s two coming in a Game 5 victory and Timo Meier scoring one of his two into an empty net.

@pierrevlebrun
Bednar says same lineup as Game 6. So the Avs will go 11-7 again.

@pierrevlebrun Bednar says same lineup as Game 6. So the Avs will go 11-7 again. Burns needs to check the forwards hard. Clean legal hit as he has done from time to time. Kane could chip in as well but he has not been hitting much at all of late.

I think if the Sharks can keep the mistakes to a minimum, get the better of faceoff wins, they can come out with a win. KANE NEEDS TO FUCKING SCORE AND ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE. jfc

Among people with my name and social security number, there is a sneaking suspicion that the introduction of 3-on-3 regular-season overtime has made players more adept at winning overtime games quickly. The Landeskog goal on Monday happened in 2:32 because why the hell wouldn’t it? Colorado played 19 overtime games in the regular season, more than anyone else, and if that isn’t enough tortured and tangential evidence for you, I cannot help you. We need more and longer overtime games, because we do. That’s all the truth you need, because your sleep patterns are of no consequence to the larger society.
Which is why Blues-Stars was such a delightful reminder of what can be achieved—no goals for a long time, then out of nowhere a goofy one. But we are running out of opportunities for a three-plus overtime tragicomedy classic—there are a maximum of 22 games left to us this year, starting with Avalanche-Sharks Game 7 tonight. Utter exhaustion with the exhilaration of advancement for one team, utter exhaustion with the handshake of shame for the other. Otherwise, why are we even bothering to save the planet at all?

SAN JOSE — Will Sharks captain Joe Pavelski return to the ice for tonight’s win-or-go-home Game 7 NHL playoff game against the Colorado Avalanche at the Shark Tank?
One authority thinks there’s a good chance.
“I’m 75 percent sure he will play,” his wife, Sarah Pavelski, said Wednesday morning. “He’s hoping to, but wants to see the doctors one more time this morning to be sure.
“Joe is feeling good.”

Can DW realistically let Pavelski walk this offseason,with all he’s been through? I know it’s a business, just like with Patty. I do think however, if he lets Pavs walk, he will be ailinating a large portion of the fan base ! Personally if we could get him on a short term Honetownt discount perfect, otherwise get younger and faster.
