I knew the Direct TV customers were fucked when that sale went through. Last I heard there was to be no more investment inn uverse and it is DTV they wanted to roll out along with 5G The U-verse interface is owned by MSFT. They can’t change things on their own. Further AT&T update. Tech guy came to the house yesterday and says that the problem may be that we are too far from the main hub outside our housing development (said we are nearly 4,000 feet away). I responded "Well, our house didn't just up and move in the last 10 years and it was working fine until last week." He then says "We may have to move you to Direct TV." I said that wasn't happening based on past experience. So he replaces the router. He says the issue might be with the line outside the house and another guy will come by tomorrow to fix that. Later we get delivered a new DVR and wireless receiver from a previous tech support call. I plug in the new DVR and it gives me an error message saying it isn't registered to my account. Back on the phone with tech support. The guy has me giving her model numbers and serial numbers off the new DVR that I already installed which just pissed me off "That would have been easy to do before I fucking installed it." Then I read him the model and serial number from the old DVR and he says that isn't in our account? While I am on the phone with the guy our Wifi cuts out again despite the new router. Spend an hour on the phone with the guy and get everything up and running. Not 30 minutes later the entire picture starts pixilating and freezing on both TVs. Completely unwatchable. Time to call Comcast.

I am not as far as the main box as you are but am very strongly considering Comcrap for www only and stream from their platform. I have just been too lazy to pull the trigger. I still have a very old @pacbell.net domain.

In Israel the phone company upgraded the block switchboards everywhere and that was enough. The copper in the wires is good for anything.

Gives you a chance to actually scrub the crap you get and either correct or just drop them. I still have my sbcglobal account but at this stage it gets maybe 1 email daily of garbage. We have directv coming out tomorrow. Satelite hasn't been communicating with us for some reason. I'm also about to just cut the cord with them and stream. Fubo was looking like a solid option.

This is my biggest concern as I think you need to either catch it live or wait until its over to stream from start. I got used to tuning in around 8-9 and then speeding through games. I'm effectively paying for this already, just on top of my cable. So it's still a net cist saver.

DirectTV guy no showed again. This time I'm thinking either he called while I was on a call (from my couch) and just said I was not home, or he attempted earlier than the slot that was communicated to me (got a weird call that sounded like a butt dial and after about 40 seconds of waiting for someone to adress me I hung up).
So I call. Give finger, say I'm ready to quit. Get a decent account manager. Tells me we get 1 month free (added to the 1 week off we already got as my fucking service hasn't worked). Then he says I need to call back tomorrow to reach service department. I tell him I'd rather just return the equiptment if his company can't open a ticket for follow up as I'm giving them a one week leadtime and a timeslot. We work out that he'll deal with it.
He calls me back 40 minutes later, has Service on the line. We schedule. I ask to verify the address, just to be positive. They still have my fucking rental on file. At this point I don't even give a shit why but we settle that.
And now I'm curious, if Ive been paying for NHL center Ice at my old place for the last 10 months, who the fuck was paying for Center Ice at the new joint? What the fuck is wrong with ATT?

It’s good to be the king!
The King of Thailand held an odd ceremony Sunday where he named one of his top generals and longtime girlfriend as his official mistress, a role that has not formally been acknowledged since 1921.
King Maha Vajiralongkorn, also known as King Rama X, named Major-General Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi the new Royal Noble Consort, the official title for the chief concubine, Royal Central reported.
Sitting alongside Rama X, was his new wife - of less than three months - General Suthida Vajiralongkorn.
Suthida, who was a former consort and Thai Airways flight attendant, married the King in an official ceremony on May 1 where was named the official Queen consort of Thailand.
