California State University East Bay (CSUEB) is reportedly offering $1,200 for faculty to attend a professional development program that seeks to understand how Whiteness can be "eradicated."
The College Fix reported Tuesday on the program, which is set for July and will involve multiple sessions on "critical race theory," "becoming an anti-racist educator" and other topics. The university had issued a "call for self-nominations" that was due on May 21, according to the document obtained and published by the Fix.
The introductory section reads in part: "So how do we counter the stories we have been told and that we might even (re)tell to ourselves about how teaching and learning should be? How do we equip ourselves with the knowledge, tools, resources and beloved community to counter the systems of oppression, particularly racism, that saturates us? How can our vigilant work in countering racism also aim toward liberatory conditions where whiteness has been eradicated?
At the end of the document, the school offers $600 upon completion of summer sessions and another $600 for completion of "the post-academy fall and spring semester sessions."
"A total of $1,200 will be paid to participants for the knowledge, skills or abilities derived from participation in the program as it provides additional benefits to the University in the future," it reads.
The introduction also cites Assata Shakur, who was on the FBI's list of most wanted terrorists. "In her autobiography, Assata Shakur reminds us that the more we get used to our oppression, the more our tolerance for it grows," it reads.
CSUEB did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

The spring breaker woman who was drugged, raped and found dead in her hotel room in Miami Beach last Thursday has been identified in a report as 24-year-old Christine Englehardt. According to Englehardt’s Facebook page, she was the assistant manager at Jules Thin Crust, a pizza shop in Philadelphia. Englehardt was found dead and semi-nude last Thursday at the Albion Hotel on South Beach after she had been drugged and raped, The New York Post reported. Two North Carolina men charged with drugging and raping a woman who was found dead during spring break in a Miami Beach hotel could face homicide charges, authorities said Tuesday. Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24, allegedly drugged Christine Englehardt with a "green pill" – believed to be the narcotic Percocet – before raping her and stealing her credit cards to fund their South Beach vacation. They are currently charged with sexual battery as well as burglary with battery, theft and credit card fraud in connection with the March 18 attack. The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office told Fox News on Tuesday that "homicide charges are being investigated against these two charged individuals." Both men were caught on surveillance footage entering the Albion Hotel with the impaired victim, a Pennsylvania resident, at around 1 a.m. on Thursday, police said. After she was identified, many on Facebook commented on a 2019 post Englehardt made, warning about predators, WPLG reported. "So if you ever feel unsafe in any way or have a feeling something isn't right ... always go with your gut," she wrote. "This is a dangerous world now unfortunately and you never know what anyone's true intentions are." |

A manhunt is underway in New York City for a suspected thief who police said caused a mom and son to tumble down a flight of stairs during an attempted robbery in a Manhattan subway over the weekend.
Than Htwe, 58, underwent surgery for a severe head injury following Saturday's incident and remains in critical condition, the New York Daily News reported. Her 22-year-old son also suffered minor injuries, the Daily News reported.

CHINA is threatening to NUKE Japan on the eve of the Olympics if it intervenes in conflict with Taiwan, it has been revealed in a new video.
The communist republic said that it would declare "full-scale war" against Japan if the Taiwan disagreement escalates, stoking World War Three fears.
It comes after earlier this month, China vowed to invade Taiwan and explained how it would do it.
An article in a state-controlled publication offered a glimpse of a terrifying three-stage plan to pave the way for an invasion force to storm the breakaway island.
President Xi Jinping pledged a "complete reunification" with Taiwan as he delivered a speech to mark 100 years of the Chinese Communist party.
Any invasion would represent a serious escalation of hostilities and could drag in the US through its pact to defend Taiwan.
Washington’s regional allies such as South Korea, Japan and Australia could also be sucked into a conflict as would Nato forces such as the UK because the US is a member of the alliance.
But a video channel, allegedly approved by the Chinese Communist Party with close ties to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), took the anger to the next level.
In the new video now deleted, a narrator said: “We will use nuclear bombs first. We will use nuclear bombs continuously.
"We will do this until Japan declares unconditional surrender for the second time.”
“When we liberate Taiwan, if Japan dares to intervene by force – even if it only deploys one soldier, one plane or one ship – we will not only return fire but also wage full-scale war against Japan itself.”
