Our criminal justice system has clearly decided suspects are more important than victims. This guy was out on….wait for it…$1,000 bail for multiple felonies, including jumping bail. So of course, they release him on bail. Madness.

Welcome to the DNC NY
Augustin Garcia, 63, is facing charges of petit larceny, grand larceny, robbery, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal trespassing. He allegedly stole a woman's purse on the afternoon of Nov. 22 and ran onto a train, then "displayed a knife and told her to stay back" when she pursued him, according to a criminal complaint.
After he was arrested, prosecutors requested a $15,000 cash bail or a $45,000 bond, but Judge James Clynes let him go on supervised release just after midnight on Nov. 23, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office told Fox News.
Garcia was arrested again about seven hours later for allegedly stealing from the second victim and prosecutors upped the request to a $20,000 cash bail or a $60,000 bond, but Judge Valentina Morales ordered him to undergo a mental health evaluation.

Lawmakers on Capitol Hill demanded hearings into fraud in the government’s coronavirus unemployment benefit program after hearing that crime syndicates in China, Russia and other adversary nations pocketed tens of billions of dollars.
Both Republicans and Democrats demanded accountability for mismanagement of funds, which The Washington Times reported this week. Of more than $700 billion in pandemic unemployment assistance Congress approved, as much as $175 billion fell into the hands of foreign fraudsters, and most of that went to syndicates that have the backing of other governments.
Rep. James Comer, the ranking Republican on the House Oversight and Reform Committee, called the numbers “deeply troubling” and said it deserves his panel’s “immediate attention.”
“For nearly a year, I’ve sounded the alarm about massive fraud in pandemic unemployment benefits but Oversight Committee Democrats have refused to hold a single hearing on this gross mismanagement of taxpayer dollars,” the Kentucky Republican said Tuesday.
Republicans also said the revelations should be a warning as Democrats push for a roughly $1.75 trillion budget bill that would dramatically expand social service spending.

Hey Nike....
The Black Lives Matter movement’s national arm is leading a boycott of "white companies" until New Year’s Day, encouraging supporters to help "end white-supremacist-capitalism" by visiting only Black-owned businesses during the holiday shopping season. "White-supremacist-capitalism uses policing to protect profits and steal Black life," reads an Instagram post by the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. "Skip the Black Friday sales and buy exclusively from Black-owned businesses."
"We’re dreaming of a #Blackxmas. That means no spending with white companies from 11/26/2021 – 01/01/2022," the BlackXmas website says.

Our country has lost its mind:
KISSIMMEE — A man with a lengthy criminal history is accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman as she delivered pizza to a central Florida apartment complex, officials said.
U.S. marshals arrested Osvaldo Figueroa, 55, Tuesday in nearby Lake County on a sexual battery charge, Osceola County Sheriff Marco López said during a news conference.
He said the woman was assaulted Sunday in an elevator at the apartment complex in Kissimmee.
During a livestream of his arrival at the sheriff’s office, Figueroa went on an expletive-laced rant, denying the allegations to reporters who were gathered there. The video posted on the sheriff’s Facebook page shows Figueroa becoming agitated and screaming as he was led by deputies. “I didn’t do this, bro,” he said. “I didn’t rape nobody.”
López called Figueroa a “prolific offender,” adding he was released from prison earlier this year after serving time for trafficking in stolen property. He said Figueroa has an extensive criminal history over a 35-year span that includes 70 to 80 arrests and multiple convictions on drug and robbery charges.
“This guy should have been in prison today. Not sure what’s wrong with the system, but it needs to change,” the sheriff said.

Florida police say a 39-year-old "homeless drifter" is behind the killing of a teenage boy who went out for a bike ride two weeks ago and never came home. Police announced charges of first-degree premeditated murder against Semmie Lee Williams Thursday morning in the stabbing death of Ryan Rogers, 14. Palm Beach Gardens Police Chief Clinton Shannon said Williams had a long criminal record, full of violence charges and stretching back two decades. Williams’ most recent prior arrest came in Georgia in 2016, Shannon said – for assault and strangulation. That same year, California authorities labeled him a fugitive from justice on a warrant out of San Diego. And in 2014, he allegedly beat up a senior citizen in Atlanta. Other charges date to the early 2000s. "The incident itself appears to be a completely random act – we do not have a motive in this case," Shannon said. "[It was] an innocent child victim having a chance encounter with a very violent criminal." Court records show authorities booked him into Palm Beach County’s detention center around 10:50 p.m. Wednesday.

And again: The 17-year-old suspect in the murder of a Temple University student over the weekend was arrested and charged earlier this year for a "gunpoint carjacking" but was released after prosecutors withdrew the case because a key witness failed to testify in court, a report says. Latif Williams, on Wednesday night, turned himself in to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit following the killing of 21-year-old Samuel Collington on Sunday. Officers that day responded to a 911 call for a person with a gun in the city’s north side and found Collington with gunshot wounds to his chest and back. He later was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Dom Calicchio Fri, December 3, 2021, 1:40 AM Los Angeles police recently arrested 14 suspects in connection with 11 "smash and grab" robberies in the city in late November – but all 14 suspects are back on the street, the city’s police chief says.
The reason? The state of California’s "zero bail" policy, Chief Michel Moore told reporters at a Thursday evening news conference, according to FOX 11 of Los Angeles.
"All the suspects taken into custody are out of custody, either as a result of one juvenile, or the others as a result of bailing out or zero-bail criteria," Moore said.

The so called media
Actress Sarah Silverman took aim at MSNBC host Joy Reid for sounding the alarm on Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for a proposal for a civilian-military force in his state.
DeSantis introduced a plan to re-establish what's called the Florida State Guard that can quickly aid the response to hurricanes and other emergencies. Several other states across the country including New York and California have similar civilian forces. "We want to make sure that we have the flexibility and the ability needed to respond to events in our state in the most effective way possible. That will require us to have access and be able to use support in ways that are not encumbered by the federal government or don't require federal government," DeSantis said Thursday. "So I'm going to be recommending in the budget $3.5 million to re-establish the Florida State Guard. The Florida State Guard will act as a civilian volunteer force that will have the ability to assist the National Guard and state-specific emergencies."
However, despite how common it is for states to create their own civilian military force, news outlets suggested DeSantis is tapping into authoritarian impulses. CNN's homepage, for example, was dominated Friday morning with the headline, "DeSantis proposes new civilian military force," something the liberal outlet stressed, "he would control."
"Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wants to reestablish a World War II-era civilian military force that he, not the Pentagon, would control," the CNN article began. "But in a nod to the growing tension between Republican states and the Biden administration over the National Guard, DeSantis also said this unit, called the Florida State Guard, would be ‘not encumbered by the federal government.’ He said this force would give him ‘the flexibility and the ability needed to respond to events in our state in the most effective way possible.’"
It wasn't until the fourth paragraph that CNN acknowledged that Florida would be the 23rd state to establish such a force.
But that didn't stop CNN's story from going viral and was shared by several liberal media personalities including the "ReidOut" host.
"So… y’all know this is fascisty bananas, right…?" Reid tweeted.
Silverman, an outspoken liberal, pushed back at the MSNBC star's hyperbolic remark.
"Please read the article before you post this stuff you’re a news outlet. The truth has to matter," Silverman told Reid.

A homeless man in New York City who was charged with beating a man last year and subsequently set free on bail reform, allegedly beat two women in unprovoked attacks this month, only to be released yet again.
Darrell Johnson, 23, has more than a dozen arrests dating back to 2014, the New York Post reported citing sources. Last year, he was charged with assault and harassment after he allegedly beat a man "about the face with a closed fist multiple times" in a Harlem building and then "used his feet to kick and stomp" the victim, according to a court complaint.
He was released without bail, however, due to New York lawmakers passing sweeping changes to the state's bail laws in 2019 that restricts crimes where judges can set bail.
Emma Colton Tue, December 7, 2021, 9:37 AM A homeless man in New York City who was charged with beating a man last year and subsequently set free on bail reform, allegedly beat two women in unprovoked attacks this month, only to be released yet again.

He was released without bail, however, due to New York lawmakers passing sweeping changes to the state's bail laws in 2019 that restricts crimes where judges can set bail.
BAIL REFORM LAWS LET ALLEGED CRIMINALS BACK ON THE STREETS WITHIN HOURS, THREATENING PUBLIC SECURITY
Johnson then allegedly beat two women in unprovoked attacks last Thursday morning in Manhattan.
In one of the attacks, he allegedly left a 50-year-old woman with a "disfiguring laceration" to her face in a "violent, unprovoked" attack, sources told the New York Post.
Three minutes later, he reportedly walked up to a 32-year-old victim on West 80th Street and punched her, causing "redness and swelling," the outlet reported.
Both women required hospitalization but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Johnson was taken to court on Friday over the attacks, but Manhattan prosecutors recommended he be released under supervised monitoring. The judge agreed with the recommendation.
The District Attorney's office told the New York Post that his charges in the attack were not sufficient for him to be held on bail.
New York City Police Commissioner Dermot Shea, who filed for retirement this month, said Tuesday the most challenging issue his successor will face are the "series of reforms" that were put in place in recent years.
"This series of reforms that were done. That we said you know, we support but that were done hastily, and done without the input of law enforcement, and we're dealing with it still today," Shea said on NY1. "That's got to be the number one issue there's no doubt because it's, as I just said, it's the city that we all love so much. And to see it pulled down in many ways is, is really hard to watch."
"It's almost as if we're still in a state of denial, many of the legislators. And this is the number one issue that the next mayor is going to have to face and the next police commissioner is going to have to face, because everything is built on public safety."

Philadelphia’s former Democratic mayor blasted the city’s current Democratic district attorney and called his recent comments on the record crime surge in Philadelphia as among the most "ignorant" and "insulting" comments ever spoken by an elected official.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner responded to the city’s crime surge, which includes 521 murders so far this year, by saying earlier this week, "We don’t have a crisis of lawlessness, we don’t have a crisis of crime, we don’t have a crisis of violence." The 521 murders represent a 13% increase compared to 2020 and the city's highest number of killings since at least 2007.
Former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, who served in office as a Democrat from 2008 to 2016, took issue with Krasner’s characterization of the murder uptick in an op-ed published by the Philadelphia Inquirer Tuesday.
"District Attorney Larry Krasner’s recent remarks about whether we are experiencing a crime crisis are some of the worst, most ignorant, and most insulting comments I have ever heard spoken by an elected official," Nutter wrote. Nutter then accused Krasner of "white wokeness" and "white privilege."
"It takes a certain audacity of ignorance and white privilege to say that right now," Nutter, a black man, wrote in the article. "As of Monday night, 521 people, souls, spirits have been vanquished, eliminated, murdered in our City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection, the most since 1960. I have to wonder what kind of messed up world of white wokeness Krasner is living in to have so little regard for human lives lost, many of them Black and brown, while he advances his own national profile as a progressive district attorney."
Nutter asked Krasner in the article how many more black and brown Philadelphians have to die before he will refer to the rise in murders as a "crisis" while also calling for a public apology. Nutter called on Krasner, whose campaign for district attorney was heavily funded by progressive megadonor George Soros, to be more active in prosecuting crimes and accused him of pushing an "anti-police" narrative.
Krasner has cited statistics showing the rate of total violent offenses in the city is down about 3% year-over-year, with armed robberies – which have increased 27% since 2020 – being the only other violent crime besides homicide that has gone up in 2021. Rape, unarmed robberies and aggravated assaults have decreased since last year. Property crime has risen 5% year-over-year.
"It’s important that we don’t let this become mushy and bleed into the notion that there is some kind of big spike in crime," Krasner said Monday. "There isn't. There is not a big spike in crime. …There is not a big spike in violent crime. Neither one of these things is true."
Krasner’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
Last month, Krasner cruised to a reelection victory, beating a Republican challenger who accused him of being soft on crime by nearly 40 points.

Great example how the left has silenced women:
EXCLUSIVE: While University of Pennsylvania transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, who spent three years at the Ivy League school swimming as a male, has been busy smashing female pool records, friction has been building within the team, according to a Penn female swimmer who said she feared for her ability to find employment after graduating from college for sharing her honest opinion about a transgender teammate. For that reason, OutKick is granting her anonymity to speak out.
Thomas’ latest round of swimming record destruction came at a three-day meet in Akron, Ohio where numerous pool, meet and program records weren’t just destroyed but lowered to a point where they may never be broken. Friday, the Ivy League 500 freestyle record was broken. Saturday, Thomas set the nation’s best time in the 200 freestyle, which also destroyed pool, meet, and Penn program records.
In the 1650 freestyle final, Thomas didn’t just win and set new program, pool, and meet records. It was total annihilation. Penn’s Anna Kalandadze finished in second place — 38 seconds behind Thomas.
"Pretty much everyone individually has spoken to our coaches about not liking this. Our coach [Mike Schnur] just really likes winning. He’s like most coaches. I think secretly everyone just knows it’s the wrong thing to do," the female Penn swimmer said during a phone interview.
"When the whole team is together, we have to be like, ‘Oh my gosh, go Lia, that’s great, you’re amazing.’ It’s very fake," she added.

Houston police have released video of an incident in which a suspect shot a store clerk in the face before trying to steal from the store’s cash register. Graphic surveillance footage from around 9:30 p.m. Monday shows the suspect entering the convenience store and leaning over the counter. When the clerk went to talk to him, the suspect drew a gun and shot the clerk in the face. The clerk stood up and tried to resist the suspect’s robbery attempt, but the suspect is captured on surveillance camera video mercilessly beating the clerk before continuing the robbery. "The male walked up to the counter, pulled out a handgun and without saying anything, shot the clerk in the face and his right hand," said Houston police. "The suspect then jumped over the counter and punched the clerk several times." The suspect fled without taking any money as he ultimately could not open the cash register.
