Pilcrow and others injured during the melee have, so far, declined to press charges against the assailant, whose identity is unknown.
They deserve it.

I think we need a Constitutional Amendment:
A person announcing his candidacy for a public office must resign from his or her current elected position, unless he or she is running for re-election at the same position.

This is where the D.A. should just press the charges anyway since there is video of the incident.

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A New York City art store owner says he was viciously beaten by a pack of teens for wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.
Jahangir Turan, 42, says it happened Monday evening on Canal Street.
He says the group of about 15 "kids" yelled "F*** Trump" and stomped on him. Turan says he suffered a badly swollen and damaged eye along with other injured body parts. He was planning a Thursday afternoon news conference to demand that the NYPD find those responsible for the attack.
Turan says he has filed a police report. FOX 5 NY will update with any police statement if and when it is released.

A black teenager shouted “I don’t like white people in my hood” before chasing four people with a gun and firing multiple shots at them, according to court documents.
Cincinnati Police said 18 year old Devonta Allen was filmed firing three shots at the alleged victims, hitting the two vehicles they were in but missing everyone inside.
Three of the people involved in the incident were white and the other individual was African-American, according to a criminal complaint.
After turning himself in, Mr Allen admitted to the shooting but claimed the alleged victims were armed and fired at him first.
However, police said: “This and other statements made by Allen are inconsistent with the videotape evidence and statements from the victims and witnesses.”
The incident initially started because of a stolen car, according to police.
Video of the confrontation has reportedly not been released because it is considered evidence in court.
Cincinnati Police said the incident was filmed in the neighbourhood of Kennedy Heights, Ohio, on 25 July.

TDS doesn't loosen its grip. Not even for a minute.
There's a reason that President Trump chose to serve hamburgers — twice — as an all-American feast for some all-American championship college football players.
But peel back the oil-spattered pages of history, and you’ll find that the sandwich so closely aligned with the stars and stripes was once also embraced by the hammer and sickle. (Yep, like so much about this current administration, even Trump’s beloved hamburgers have surprising ties to Russia.)
I lived in the USSR between 1975 and 1990. The first hamburger I saw was when I was in West Berlin in 1990. Until then we only had a vague idea what it is. The Russian "cutlet" mentioned in the article is actually very different from the hamburger in ingredients, shape, texture, serving and taste. Not inferior, but different. Usually served with mashed potatoes and a pickle, never saw one served in a bun. Buns themselves were a rarity. And, naturally, the prepared food that was sold, with the exception of Baltic states and top-class restaurants, was not edible.
The first pizza I tasted, btw, was in Israel in 1991.

A 29-year-old Trump supporter was charged with assault Thursday night for stepping out of his red truck and beating up a 61-year-old protester in downtown Cincinnati outside a Trump rally. An assembled crowd reportedly chanted “Lock him up!” as cops handcuffed the man, identified by local media as Central Kentucky resident Dallas Frazier, after he repeatedly punched the protester in the head and broke his glasses. The protesters had been holding up their signs outside of the U.S. Bank Arena when Frazier pulled up in a red pickup. He and the protesters started yelling at each other, and then Frazier hopped out of the truck and charged a protester identified as Mike Alter.

You have to apologize for saying this?
Mario Lopez is not losing his 'Access Hollywood' job after transgender remarks: source Suzy Byrne 5 hours ago Reactions Reblog on Tumblr Share Tweet Email Mario Lopez apologized for his transgender remarks — and that’s good enough for NBC. Yahoo has learned that he will not be fired from Access Hollywood despite reports to the contrary.
The controversy stems from an interview on the Candace Owens Show last month during which he said it was “dangerous” for parents to support their transgender kids.
“If you come from a place of love, you really can’t go wrong,” he said. “But at the same time, my God, if you're 3 years old and you’re saying you’re feeling a certain way or you think you’re a boy or a girl or whatever the case may be, I just think it's dangerous as a parent to make this determination then, well, OK, then you’re going to be a boy or a girl, whatever the case may be ... It's sort of alarming and my gosh, I just think about the repercussions later on.”
Following the backlash, he issued an apology for his “ignorant and insensitive” remarks and said he came to understand “how hurtful they were.” He added that he would use the experience to “better educate” himself and be “more informed and thoughtful” in the future.

Agree...when your three year old boy asks you what sex he is...you tell him he’s a boy because of that thing between his legs, buy him a GI Joe, start teaching him to catch a ball of any kind and move on

Shocking!
A U.N. Palestinian refugee agency is reeling from allegations of sexual misconduct and abuses of authority involving the agency chief and other senior management figures -- the latest controversy for the embattled agency that the U.S. withdrew funding from last year
The U.N. has launched an investigation via its internal watchdog into the allegations. The report, which was obtained by the Associated Press and was written by the agency’s ethics office, alleges that senior management figures including UNRWA’s commissioner-general Pierre Krahenbuhl, “have engaged in sexual misconduct, nepotism, retaliation, discrimination and other abuses of authority.”
The report alleges that an “inner circle,” involving Krahenbuhl, his deputy Sandra Mitchell, Chief of Staff Hakam Shawan and senior adviser Maria Mohammedi had ignored the usual decision-making processes and sidelined other directors and staff.
According to the AP, the report stated that Krahenbuhl had started a relationship with Mohammadi in late 2014 having been appointed to his position in March of that same year. The report stated that the relationship between the two “went beyond the professional,“ leading to “a toxic environment", which caused, “frequent embarrassment.”
The report alleges these acts were carried out "for personal gain, to suppress legitimate dissent, and to otherwise achieve their personal objectives, jeopardizing the credibility and interests of the agency."

WTF, and 9 more killed in Dayton. Terribly sad for everyone in both of these cities and I’m all for sensible gun regulations. I just wish there was as much media and political outrage about the daily gun violence in some of the inner cities. Nine killed can sometimes be a weekend in Chicago...
