I saw the middle photo and headline and laughed. Yeah, “austere religious scholar”...with an AK47 in the background. Only the alt-left media could be so stupid.

13,000 businesses? That's a lot of lost jobs
CANOGA PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Tom and Micki Brizes are packing up and moving their small business out of Southern California to what they say is the more business-friendly state of Texas.
"We're excited," says Tom Brizes of Aeromax.
Aeromax has been in business for 32 years, mostly selling airline parts for military aircraft.
The Brizes have been running Aeromax in Canoga Park for years, but say the cost of doing business in California is just too high.
They're moving Aeromax and most of its employees to Fort Worth, Texas.
"There's so much regulation, that we really need to be in a place that allows our small business to grow and I feel that Texas will do that for us," says Micki Brizes.
"We have to move to a bigger building," says Tom Brizes. "We need 10,000 square feet and there's nothing in the Valley under 16,000 that fits what we need... that we can afford," says Tom Brizes.
He says it's also about quality of life and points to the homeless problem he says is getting worse and worse by the year. Brizes says his employees are afraid to take walks at lunch time and recalls one UPS driver who was attacked by a pit bull that jumped out of a homeless person's RV. Brizes says the UPS driver required hours of surgery.
Brizes says he called the LAPD at least three times to complain about issues related to the homeless population, but says he was told nothing could be done.
"It took us two years to get them out. All the business owners here got together, and it took us two years. They moved one street away," says Tom Brizes of the homeless population in his area.
The Aeromax story isn't unique. From 2008 to 2016, 13,000 businesses left the state.
Joseph Vranich is a consultant who helps businesses relocate.
"There's such squalor that people are looking to leave," says Vranich. "I've experienced companies, company leaders going to employees and saying, 'you know what - we're interested in moving out of state,' and employees volunteer to go."
Mauricio Lopez has been with Aeromax for two years, and he's moving to Texas with the company. Lopez says the cost of housing in Southern California is too high.
"The rent started at $600, now it's $2,300 for a two-bedroom apartment," says Lopez. "It's so hard for a family."
Brizes says a move of this magnitude is certainly not cheap, it will cost more than $100,000 -- but he says he'll make that up in no time and in the long run it'll definitely help the company.
"It's a better solution for a small business so that we can compensate our employees and have them get ahead," says Micki Brizes.

It's about a mile and a half from where I was working in Chatsworth a few years ago. I talked with them about an ME job after learning that my company was bailing out of California. The last convo was about money. Guess I was too pricey! 😝 Which turned out to be a good thing! Much better gig here! Although the commute is a huge PITA! The scratch is worth it...

I wonder what party these people vote for.
Close to a thousand anti-police protesters descended on Downtown Brooklyn Friday night, blocking traffic, vandalizing a city bus and shouting obscene insults at NYPD cops.
The demonstration formed soon after 7 p.m. on the streets near the Barclays Center, with protesters unfurling large banners that read “F—k the police” and “Don’t let these pigs touch us.” The crowd began dispersing by 9 p.m.

"Catch and Kill" author and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ronan Farrow took aim at former President Bill Clinton on Friday night, saying the nation's 42nd chief executive was "credibly" accused of rape and that alleged victim Juanita Broaddrick's claim was "overdue for revisiting."
Stemming from a panel discussion on "Real Time with Bill Maher" about the Katie Hill saga -- in which the California congresswoman resigned after allegations of inappropriate affairs -- host Maher posed a hypothetical about whether Clinton would have been treated differently -- for the Monica Lewinsky affair and other matters -- if he were president in today's political climate.
"Could Bill Clinton, if he had done what he did in 1998, survive today -- or would his own party have thrown him under the bus?" Maher asked.
Later in the conversation, Farrow addressed the question by stressing that the allegations made against Clinton are a "different" situation.
"I think that it is very important to interject that Bill Clinton is a different conversation," Farrow told Maher. "He has been credibly accused of rape. That has nothing to do with gray areas. I think that the Juanita Broaddrick claim has been overdue for revisiting."
Farrow, whose reporting took down disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein and helped propel the #MeToo movement, added that he thought Clinton wouldn't escape scrutiny today, saying society's views on sexual misconduct have "changed."

The community has a party in Orinda, five are dead, and the national press is not very concerned. The Contra Costa County sheriff announced late Friday night that a fifth victim wounded in a shooting at a large Halloween party in an Orinda mansion rented on AirBnB has died at the hospital.
The latest fatality was identified as 19-year-old Oshiana Tompkins of Vallejo and Hercules.
The sheriff’s office previously identified four other victims as 22-year-old Tiyon Farley of Antioch, 24-year-old Omar Taylor of Pittsburg, 23-year-old Ramon Hill Jr. of San Francisco and Oakland and 29-year-old Javin County of Sausalito and Richmond.
The FBI is assisting in the investigation into a shooting that killed five people and wounded several others on Thursday night at a large Halloween party at an Orinda mansion rented on Airbnb, where police are still trying to piece together what happened.

This makes me glad I spent next to nothing on post-secondary education and learned a trade.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Saturday gave her backing to a New York City anti-police protest, in which demonstrators jumped subway turnstiles and yelled anti-cop slogans to protest a crackdown on fare evasion and allegations of police brutality. “Ending mass incarceration means challenging a system that jails the poor to free the rich,” the left-wing freshman congresswoman tweeted, retweeting a video of protesters jumping subway turnstiles in Brooklyn Friday night.

The madness of the left. A birth coach has been ‘ostracised’ by her professional organisation after transgender activists branded as offensive a Facebook post in which she said that only women can have babies.
Lynsey McCarthy-Calvert, 45, was forced to stand down as spokesperson for Doula UK and has since resigned altogether from the national organisation for birth coaches. Her exit comes after transgender rights activists triggered an investigation in which Doula UK concluded her message breached its equality and diversity guidelines.

The so called media:
Three years ago, during the 2016 presidential election, ABC spiked an expose into convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his network of connections to powerful men, including Bill Clinton. That’s the bombshell scoop by investigative journalist James O’Keefe. In a hot mic video leaked to O’Keefe, 20/20 co-anchor Amy Robach can be heard angrily lamenting the fact that ABC killed the story.
Regarding alleged victim Virginia Roberts, Robach complained to an off-camera ABC staffer: “She (Virginia Roberts) told me everything. She had pictures, She had everything. She was in hiding for 12 years. We convinced her to come out. We convinced her to talk to us. It was unbelievable what we had. Clinton, we had everything.”
The comments, which were recorded with Robach mic’d up and in studio, occured in August of 2019:
I tried for three years to get it on to no avail. And now it’s all coming out and it’s like these new revelations and I freaking had all of it! I’m so pissed right now! Like, every day I get more and more pissed. ‘Cause I’m just, like, ‘Oh, my God.’ We, what we had was unreal. Other women backing it up.... Brad Edward, the attorney three years ago saying, like, we, there will come a day when we will realize Jeffrey Epstein was the most prolific pedophile this country has ever known. I had it all three years ago.
Of the Project Veritas video, O’Keefe explained, “The brave insider who leaked this tape to us does not know who at ABC spiked the story. But someone at ABC does. Our question, who killed the Epstein story at ABC News and why?” He suggested people contact ABC News President James Goldston.
As I reported in July of 2019, it took ABC days to report on the connection between former President Bill Clinton and Epstein. But when that happened, on July 9, 2019, Good Morning America gave it just 38 seconds. Who co-hosts GMA? George Stephanopoulos, a former White House top aide to Bill Clinton.
In December of 2018, a Vanity Fair piece by T.A Frank identified Stephanopoulos as a dinner guest of Epstein: Who among these visitors knew what about Epstein’s sexual subjugation of high-school girls? Let me avoid threats from lawyers and just say that, regardless of the answer, Epstein lost fewer friends than you’d think, not to mention very little of his fortune. In 2010, having long since served his time, Epstein was hosting Katie Couric, George Stephanopoulos, Chelsea Handler, and Woody Allen for dinner.

Space doesn’t exist because he hasn’t seen it? He has never looked at a star or the moon? Yet slavery is true because of post-traumatic stress of something he didn’t see. So using his so-called logic, he has post-traumatic stress from something that doesn’t exist.

Pretty sure the so called media wont report this one:
A Florida woman defended her husband and child when she shot and killed an armed suspect who broke into her home.
Officers in Hillsborough County responded to a 911 call on Oct. 30 reporting a home invasion in progress in Lithia, about 25 miles from Tampa.
Investigators arrived on scene and found a male suspect dead in a ditch outside the home on the side of the road.
The preliminary investigation showed that two unknown males, who were wearing masks, had broken into the home and made demands, police said.
The male victim, later identified as Jeremy King, told Bay 9 News that the suspects pointed guns at him, demanded money and threatened him.
King was pistol-whipped and beaten when he refused, police said. He was later transported to the hospital following the incident.
"I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head," King told the station. "I took a severe beating."
The couple's young daughter, who King said is 11 years old, was also inside the home at the time of the attack. King's wife, who he said is 8 months pregnant, was in the back bedroom when the suspects broke in. When she opened the bedroom door to see what was going on, one of the suspects shot at her, King said.
That's when the wife returned fire with an AR-style assault rifle, striking the suspect, a source told ABC News. The gun was legally owned by the family, police said.
The suspect, described by police as a Hispanic male in his 20s, was later found in the ditch outside the home.
