Borowiecki is leaving the Senators. Would be a good depth add and physical presence but the kinda guy who’ll get overpaid for sure. Also had some injury trouble.

Not quite apples to apples. Prout had concussions problems and had played 55 games in 4 years. Borowiecki is an everyday player but the injury history and his age it’d be better to find someone younger but who’s out there?

Need guys from the Cuda to come up young and make their mark.

Instead Sommer was promoted last season.

I still see DW trying to get into contention next year.

With all my objections to signing Karlsson, I think letting Pavelski go was a solid, logic decision. His production during the regular season wasn't worth even a hometown discount. Instead, the Sharks should've traded the rights to both for a 2nd pair d-man, a top-6 winger and a 3rd line center. Should've gotten that easily to fit within $13.5M of cap space (discard Jumbo as well). Could've unloaded Melker Karlsson and Aaron Dell on the way as well.

Pavs made much sense for a team wanting to make a legit deep run and go for broke. He has been a clutch player, can win in the circle and get dirty goals. He rarely make bonehead mistakes and his heart cant be questioned. Good for him in his quest.

Yeah a guy that scored 38 goals, played on the top line and continues to play on a top line with a different team... definitely trash.
