Glad they at least got in there when Meier was getting mugged. Like this net off rule to not allow a line change. Subtle punishment without having to go full blown penalty.

Something needs to be done IMMEDIATELY.. Kane comes in tomorrow. You hopefully can bench Radil or Gambrell and tweak the lines. I'm worried Sorrenson may be down which would somewhat negate that. Woth Kane back I give it another 2 games and see what sticks. Other factor still out there is Simek. We need him to come back and looking like last year to stabilize the D pairings. |

Exited the tank friday night thinking about the big hole Pavs has left behnd. Slow, but something was magic about that guy. When campared to Vegas, shark forward lines suck and have many holes. matchups against Anaheim didn't look much better. it gets tougher with Nashville in their barn Tuesday. Forward lines really lack. Somewhere this weekend in the south bay, Marleau giggles and wonders if Doug might call. Even I thought about 12 in that brutal effort against Vegas on friday. |

We have seen really bad ten game slumps from this team when they were considered NHL elite.
The term used was fragile by the coach. Starting off the season or having this happen midway through really does not matter.
20 games in we should have a good view of what this team really looks like.

Of course if you have a mid season slump you know what you are capable of and that the slump wont last.
If you start the season this way and are missing pieces of your last years team you really dont know what you are.
No Pavs/No Braun and of course so far no Kane.

I think at this point Dougie needs to add some proven NHL talent (possibly even Patty or one of the other PTO wash outs). Radil and Gambrell just ain't it. Better luck at next years camp for them. The other 3 new joins should be good as long as they can keep their tempo up across the season. Yurt and Berg should produce more if they are able to shoot down to the 3-4 lines and get easier match ups. The top two lines need to be sorted out asap if they hope to get the Offense going. Hertl, Meier and Cooter all look lost out there, like they are trying to attack 1 on 5.
At least we can look at the bright side, the Ducks game is improvement.... Only let in 3 goals! lmao

I don’t mean rob wait for 0-20 as there is no way I see that happening. We still have not seen the full lineup and Kane should help the offense.
