I think at this point Dougie needs to add some proven NHL talent (possibly even Patty or one of the other PTO wash outs). Radil and Gambrell just ain't it. Better luck at next years camp for them. The other 3 new joins should be good as long as they can keep their tempo up across the season. Yurt and Berg should produce more if they are able to shoot down to the 3-4 lines and get easier match ups. The top two lines need to be sorted out asap if they hope to get the Offense going. Hertl, Meier and Cooter all look lost out there, like they are trying to attack 1 on 5. At least we can look at the bright side, the Ducks game is improvement.... Only let in 3 goals! lmao Well the Ducks are expected to be terrible this season so maybe this loss is a s bad as the two vegas ones. They were not dominated as they were vs Vegas but they were soundly beaten by an expected bottom lever team. |

To me they are at least another proven NHL forward out of the hunt for a playoff berth. And getting Simek back is as critical. |

I thought last year any success they had was almost all because of Gibson, and I don't think much has changed for them. The Sharks are just that far out of sync. I hate to put that much pressure on Simek but I too think his return is critical. As for the people that want Pete fired... who is out there that could take over? Isn't the pool a little thin at the moment. (also assuming Boogie doesn't get the tap to take lead) |

So being their live and seeing this poor excuse for a team. Man how many times are these players forgetting their hockey sense?
Like when passing or expecting a puck to be in a different place than where it ends up. i.e. a ducks player's stick. Let me count how many times the no look pass thing was happening and irritating me so!
Also Dell should not play pucks period! oof on that first goal!
Many seats empty as usual. The ducks opening is now with a laser light show that makes no sense.
Fans were not in our faces and at all.
However the woo-ing was annoying and it started with the guy next to me.
Anyway, this team needs lots of help or at least a different coach ethic I'm sad to say.

Doug is Hasso's guy. I doubt he will go. Hasso better hope the Sharks turn it around soon or the Arena will have empty seats. With the Warriors starting in their brand new arena. Just look at the Giants for the empty seats this year, 1st time they drew under 3 million people(2.7) since their stadium opened. The Sharks already have an empty seat problem, really since the reverse sweep. Getting all those NHL and Maple Leaves suits a few seasons ago have really helped. |
