...as after four fruitless games, they still can’t seem to avoid hurting themselves. Tuesday, they committed ghastly turnovers and allowed a handful of odd-man rushes in a 5-2 loss to the Nashville Predators.
The Sharks broke through for a second goal for the first time this season. But by the time Brent Burns scored at the 15:37 mark of the third period to cut the Predators lead to 4-2, it was already too late.
The Sharks trailed by one entering the third period, but allowed a goal by Kyle Turris on an odd man rush at the 2:31 mark. Filip Forsberg then effectively put the game away, scoring at the 7:24 mark shortly after an egregious giveaway by Erik Karlsson, to make it 4-1.
The Sharks have still not owned a lead this season as they found themselves down by two goals for the third time in four games.
“This is a league where you have to combine work ethic with a smart game,” DeBoer said. “We made a few glaring mistakes and the ones we made, they stuck in the back of the net. That’s what a good team will do to you.
“We played from behind a lot of the night again, that’s been kind of a theme, which is tough. I did see some good signs from a compete point of view. We’re starting to find what our game should look like. I thought tonight was the first night I really saw it for longer stretches than I had so far. But we’ve got to be smarter, too.”

The defense is atrocious and the goalie is mediocre at best...not a good combo. A good goalie can really back stop a bad D, just like a strong D can help a weak goalie...the Sharks can’t do either at this point. I think their GAA is about 4.5 right now...thats going to be tough to fix. |

A good goalie can really back stop a bad D, just like a strong D can help a weak goalie...the Sharks can’t do either at this point. I think their GAA is about 4.5 right now...thats going to be tough to fix. I was just joking with Lord Nelson, You have to laugh/joke watching this team play.. |

I don't know how that is supposed to help the shitty D and goaltending. On a very positive note, I just met an American of Scottish decent here in Rothenburg ob der Tauber that has a shop with all kinds of rare Scotch. Booyah!! Tasted a few. Did I mention Booyah? |
