Merry Christmas! Went for a run through the neighborhood for the last time. House is packed. Just finished off my latest batch of limoncello. Movers come tomorrow before 9am. Set out on Friday, hoping for not too much snow with these storms that just rolled through. Only have 1 beer, 1 glass of wine and some Kahlua for tomorrow. Not sure that will keep me for an afternoon and evening in an empty house! Damn you sold the house already? Did you buy something on the East Coast? This is sudden We had 5 offers in the first weekend. (Couple wankers on Thursday/Friday but then the offers started pouring in Saturday and by Sunday we were under contract). That was all by Dec 6th. We're now done with the movers. Have a blow up matress and a couple dog beds in the house. No chairs. Ready to hit the road tomorrow. And not buying on the East Coast. Renting a brand new town home from a coworker for at least the first year. I think we're both a bit leery of purchasing again. Will at least go into it knowning more of the gotcha shit to be careful about (we literally have termites popping up in this place and if it wasn't for selling we'd never have known).

Are you still with the same company? I noticed JB got a new job on the East Coast. She must be happy about that plus she'll be closer to her parents

I'm still with the same company. It's been getting shitty so I figure worst case the area in NC is actually better for tech or bio medical than Phoenix. But I had also been working on a special project with a group out there for the last 6 months and will continue for at least another 16 or so, so it was not a bad place to be (plus general trends of my role could use me over there longer term).

Radio personality Don Imus, whose insult humor and savage comedy catapulted him to a long-lasting and controversial radio career, has died at 79. His three-hour radio program, Imus in the Morning, was widely popular, especially with the over 25-male demographic.
Imus passed away on Friday morning at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in College Station, Texas, after being hospitalized on Christmas Eve, a representative said. The cause of death was not given.

We went from cloud covered hills covered in saguaro to this within about 2 hours from Phoenix. Arizona winter? imgur.com/gallery/e4DGIqbAnd that wasn't even the heaviest snow we got within Arizona during the drive.

Final leg tomorrow. I have driven the full way so far. Today was about 5 hours of pretty bad rain for that 2 lane highway.

NEW YORK — Sue Lyon, who at age 14 played the title character in director Stanley Kubrick's 1962 film “Lolita,” has died.
Lyon's longtime friend Phil Syracopoulos told The New York Times she had been in declining health for some time, and died Thursday in Los Angeles. No further details on her death were provided. She was 73.
Lyon was reportedly chosen from some 800 girls who sought the role of “Lolita” for the film based on Vladimir Nabokov's 1955 novel about a middle-age literature professor's sexual obsession with a 12-year-old girl.
Nabokov also wrote the screenplay for Kubrick's adaptation, whose cast included movie luminaries James Mason, Peter Sellers and Shelley Winters.

CMH can show you around Columbus. He lives near there on a ranch I'm in touch with him, talked to him about particular areas.
We're going to see a few construction sites in the better suburbs and hang out for a day with Columbus attractions, then do the same in Pittsburgh, flying back home Monday morning. Presidents' weekend we might go to Nashville, but maybe only me and mrs. cjelli will go to both Nashville and Raleigh during the spring break.

Well good luck. It's good to visit during the wintertime. It will give you an idea how the weather will be. Personally I hate the cold
