Thats where we moved from a few months ago...hard to see our friends and family suffering while 3,000 miles away and powerless to help It's a mess in the North Bay. They evacuated everyone from Windsor to Bodega Bay. Those Portugese dairy farmers are pissed As they should be. It's a tough situation.

Gotta be some arson involved. I wouldn't be surprised if it was tree-hugging, climate change advocate liberals...🙄

The ultimate coworker: Gerrit Cole, a pending free agent, wasted no time distancing himself from the Houston Astros Wednesday night as the star pitcher donned a baseball cap bearing his agent's logo and telling reporters he was "not an employee of the team."
Cole, one of the front-runners for the American League's Cy Young award this season, warmed up but did not appear for the Astros as they slipped to a crushing Game 7 defeat against the Washington Nationals in the World Series.
When he spoke to reporters after the game, Cole told an Astros spokesperson, "I'm not an employee of the team," before adding "I guess as a representative of myself..."

Let's see -
Curry Breaks Left hand - Warriors are donzo. Sharks are playing like shit - donzo. SF Giants still have no Coach - still alive but Barely.
Niners only thing giving me hope until some fluke injury happens or they play a contender. Then will see all if they are who we thought they were!

Almost got stranded in the Ottawa airport overnight. My fucking life flashed before my eyes, eh? I'll be there in a couple of weeks. Was there last September too, my plane for Dulles got late, and I got stuck in Dulles as well. God bless United's lounge.

Loving the employee stock purchase program today. Made a cool 115% instantly! I think I'll go out to dinner tonight and not ruin the day by watching a certain "hockey" team.

Almost got stranded in the Ottawa airport overnight. My fucking life flashed before my eyes, eh? I'll be there in a couple of weeks. Was there last September too, my plane for Dulles got late, and I got stuck in Dulles as well. God bless United's lounge. I typed and lost a long ass account of this dibacle. Long story short, I had to be rebooked not once but two seperate times. Total travel time was 29 hours. It spanned 3 airlines, had a stress inducing sprint or stupid bureacracy at almost every plane transfer, involved me passing through customs 4 total times (once even getting sent through the Canadian queue which was about 15x longer than the american one) and then I needed to work about 4 more hours once I finally did get home.. Drinking scotch now. Oh, and if you go to Vino Volo in the Ottawa airport there was a pretty cute waitress who told me I was getting a beer before I even sat down (this was only 2 hours into the mess). She then proceeded to order me pizza. So there was that bright spot. The real issue with Ottawa is the weather is moody so quickly a flight or 2 may be canceled which screws the whole day up. And the more secure bets are through Air Canada which is all around a dumpster fire of an airline and involves you needing to transfer under usually tight conditions through what are behemoth airports (MTL or TO) and through customs at that layover. If you go with an American carrier it's better (you do customs in OTT) but you run the risk of missing one of the limited options of flights and then missing your connection. My advice - book the earliest plane out of dodge.

I fly AC into Montreal, then take a train from there to OTT for the conference, then early morning AC flight into Toronto, and then an evening flight by United back home.

I really wish I did the train from Montreal. Seems better than dealing with the airport. 2 hours of likely decent Quebec views. Your flights sound fine. The good thing is they run constant flights into Toronto so with that long layover as long as you hit one of the next 2 or so flights you'd still make it.
