Yeah, I saw the interview. I was actually stunned that he called them out on the carpet. Good on Cooter! I didn't think he had the stones for something like that.

Fk Lebanc. He had two chances to get off the ice and he skating right by the bench. Glad Logan said that's a selfish play

Jones played well but man that's not a shot you should be giving up a second chance on. Don't know what Labanc was doing tonight and why Karlsson tried that pass on his rush is beyond me. Karlsson was probably thinking, and rightfully so, that fucking Labanc would go to the net. Labanc was an absolute shitshow in OT. Fucking horrible!! Your 100% right, I guess LaBanc couldn't decide to go on the 2-1 break or go to the bench, another braindead Sharks, Extend him now DW

from Mike Harrnngton of the Buffalo News,
It was just two years ago when the Buffalo Sabres won only 11 home games all season. It equaled a franchise low and was the fewest by any NHL team since 2007. It was an embarrassment, an affront to the fans who have given their hearts -- and their dollars -- to this franchise.
It was the year of General Manager Jason Botterill's infamous press box door slam during an ugly matinee against Los Angeles, and the year of a 7-1 loss to Dallas during a similar Kids Day special. Suzy and Johnny weren't badgering Mommy and Daddy to bring them back.
But the kiddies and everyone else in the 716 might want to head downtown now because there's plenty of fun to be had at the rink.
The Sabres are 8-1-1 overall for just the third time in their history. They're 5-0 at home also for the third time – and the first since 1984.
Tuesday's 4-3 overtime thriller over San Jose was a wild slapstick affair filled with frustration and fun. No one experienced more emotion than captain Jack Eichel.

Meh, Sharks get a point on the road. This. Fuck buffalo, Sharks are done with them for the season now. Obvisouly lots of kinks for SJ to smooth out, maybe bonding out on the road can help. Beware of holes further emerging in the roster. Team -8 (24GF, 32GA) is biggest number to watch trend (hopefully up) for now. Just 9 games in, we're cool..

If they didn't, I'd seriously question the coaching staff/leadership. If I'm Deboer, Labanc is hearing it before he even gets to the bench.

San Jose Sharks captain voiced his frustration with two teammates for a poor change that led to the Buffalo Sabres' overtime winner Tuesday night. As Sharks forwards and changed with just under two minutes left in overtime, found up ice for a two-on-one with . Eichel would score the overtime winner off a rebound as Couture and were racing back into the play. "Just an inexcusable change. Two guys that stayed out too long looking for offence. It's a selfish play that doesn't need to be part of this team, so we'll figure that out," Couture said post-game. On Wednesday, Couture clarified that he spoke to both Labanc and Meier before addressing the media. "I talked to them in the dressing room right after the game," Couture said in Montreal. "We saw it, we saw what happened and I think those guys will learn from it." Meier took his share of the blame speaking to reporters in Montreal and also noted Couture addressed him directly. "Me and Kevin, obviously we know we made a mistake," said Meier. "We're man enough to stand up to own up to our mistakes. It's happened you try to learn from it and do a better job next time. "(Couture is) an honest guy, he said it in the locker room anyways so we heard here first and not from the media. We heard from him first." Tuesday's loss dropped the Sharks to 3-5-1 on the season and came after they lost 4-3 to the Sabres on home ice Saturday night. “These two games, we’re playing okay, but we’re still not winning,” Erik Karlsson added. “That’s what this business is about, is winning games. Especially when we’re feeling like we’re playing decent, we need to find ways to win games, and right now we’re not doing that. “We get a point, but by no means should we be satisfied with that tonight.” The Sharks, who had won three straight games before their two losses to Buffalo, will look to get back on track Thursday against the Montreal Canadiens.

Probably the right time for Couture to say something, start of a long road trip, dropping two games to the same team, and generally not playing well. Meier and Labanc have played up to snuff, not a lot have but they're two guys who are being counted on to do more than they did last year.
Hopefully this sparks them but Couture telling them in private and then saying it aloud definitely looks good. Couture's not like a Benn, Richards, or Getzlaf type of player/captain but he's got some of that same kind of jerk in him where he doesn't care about making friends, he cares about winning because that brings respect. Least that's how I've always seen it.

Will Capetian Logan call out EK65 or BB88 for any number of bad decisions they will make in the next game? Not bloody likely. Not if he knows what's good for him. Not when you're standing in front of the net and those guys are bombing clappers from the points. He might go ahead and politely ask them to get their shit together. Call out? Nah, he probably likes his new teeth and doesn't want to get new new teeth!😝
