The Montreal Canadiens have signed goaltender Cayden Primeau to a three-year, entry level contract.
Primeau was the Habs’ 7th round (199th overall) pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
Cayden is the son of former NHLer Keith Primeau and the nephew of former NHLer’s Wayne Primeau and Derrick Smith.

Because I'm tired of being shoved the marvels of women's hockey on Twitter and elsewhere, whereas, being at the level of top-tier midget hockey, it should attract about the same level of attention.

This is very cool! Got calls/texts yesterday from old friends I went to school with in Michigan’s U.P. They won it! Among 100s of entries, Calumet Michigan voted Kraft ‘Hockeyville USA’ for 2019! Bettman himself announced it yesterday on NBCs Ranger/Flyer game. Calumet Colosseum receives $150k for rink improvements and will also host an NHL exhibition game this fall. www.nhl.com/news/2019-hockeyville-usa-winner-calumet-michigan/c-306316750?tid=280033638 I played high school hockey in this frozen barn back in ’77, rink was an ancient 65 years old then, now still going strong at 106 – oldest indoor ice arena in the world. My very first game there almost cancelled after 1st period because the Fire Marshall insisted building was over capacity by 1000 people. The Refs and mayor met near the benches and decided to play on. Dozens even perched in the rafters the entire game, crazy. For 100 years, Colosseum has been that community’s civic activity center for 50 miles around. Exactly what ‘Hockeyville’ looks for, IMO. Huge news for all da ‘Yoopers’ – Bask in glory today Calumet, Well done!

Blame the NHL for adding that Woman to the All Star game events. It's a PC world out there and we're just the little guy On NHL Radio this morning they were speculating that the reason that league is folding is so the NHL can start a WNHL league. Basically the Canadian league sought assistance from the NHL and their response was that they weren't interested in helping out a league that they didn't own.

Props for taking the call! When he called me, I let it go to voicemail. I was told they were considering you for goalie duty. Where’s Red? DW must be suffering from UV radiation poisoning. How he could possibly confuse me with Nellie defies all logic. Nellie is the future of goaltending...

Goaltending has been a concern for the San Jose Sharks this season, but some of those problems could be a thing of the past moving forward. The Sharks are set to add one of the top goalies in all of college hockey to the pipeline, as ESPN’s John Buccigross reports that Quinnipiac University junior Andrew Shortridge will sign with the team. San Jose has yet to confirm the entry-level pact, but Quinnipiac head coach Rand Pecknold has confirmed his starter’s early departure.
Shortridge, 23, and the Bobcats fell short of a Frozen Four appearance in the NCAA Tournament, but it was otherwise a flawless season for the talented keeper. Shortridge posted his third straight season with a 2.36 GAA or better, but his play was far beyond that mark. The Alaska native was arguably the best goaltender in the NCAA with a stunning .940 save percentage. and 1.51 GAA.

His Ironman streak should be second to the team goal.

Well it finally happened. CBJ fans were all doom and gloom on the ubs Facebook page. I posted, "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
It took 9 hours for a damn millennial to reply, "The Germans didn't bomb Pearl Harbor, it was the Japanese. And second we were attacked, we weren't fighting."
Yes we are old but screw that moronic generation!!!

His Ironman streak should be second to the team goal. If I'm Bobcock, I tell Patty, "I'm the Head Coach, if I say you sit, you sit! Fuck your streak! We have more important goals than your fucking little streak!" If I'm DeBoer, I tell Patty, "I'm sorry sir! I shouldn't have even mentioned it! My bad! Now, shall I wash your right ball first or the left?"

CJ, or anyone else who has time and is willing...are we doing a playoff pool contest this year? I hope so. If it happens, one request...don’t force people to pick the Sharks to win anything but the late April golf tourneys they’ll all be playing in.
