I agree with these choices and the others that have been mentioned. How about the other side of this conversation...who are the players that played a tough, edgy game but also were talented and good sports? I always think of Jerome Iginla when I think of guys who could hit, would drop the gloves, do the tough stuff but was also very talented. wendel clark Absolutely yes, loved watching him play.

I always think of Jerome Iginla when I think of guys who could hit, would drop the gloves, do the tough stuff but was also very talented. I really liked Ryan Clowe. He could play the game first, tough to bounce off the puck, had a pretty good shot, would hit and of course drop the gloves. I think he dropped them too often and he suffers as a result to this day but he was not dirty and would let up when he knew he had his man beat. He could also play amazing D from the bench..... Agree on Clowe, tough but not a cheap shot artist who could also play. Of course, in Sharks history, Brad Marchment needs mentioning...a little closer to the edge than Clowe but he hit like a runaway train.

I always respected Ryan Getzlaf's game. He played the game right. Even though the Ducks were a hated rival, I still liked his game. While my brain says I agree with you, my heart says I can’t in good conscience say anything good about any Ducks...ever

The cast and creators of Hadestown and The Ferryman are probably still shining their new Tony Awards but CBS might just want to put Sunday’s primetime telecast on the shelf after hitting an all-time low in the final numbers.
Easily trounced by Game 6 of the 2019 Stanley Cup finals and slightly adjusted from yesterday’s fast affiliates, the 73rd annual Tony Awards delivered 5.40 million viewers and a 0.8/4 rating among adults 18-49.
Related stories NBA Finals Ratings Hit 2019 High With Game 5 Warriors' Comeback; Down From 2017 That’s the first time that Broadway’s biggest night has gone below an audience of 6 million. In harder math, it is also a 15% drop in sets of eyeballs from last year and a 20% pratfall in the key demo from the 72nd annual Tony Awards – which has to hurt on more than two levels.
Meanwhile over on the rink, the Boston Bruins stymied the St. Louis Blues clinching their first NHL Championship won the night for NBC among the 18-49s with a 2.0/10.
Though CBS took Sunday’s primetime overall thanks to a strong 60 Minutes (7.5 million viewers/0.6/03 in adults 18-49), Game 6 of the 2019 Stanley Cup had 6.5 million viewers. That’s a Game 6 record for NBC with a 36% rise from 2017’s series clincher when the Pittsburgh Penguins topped the Nashville Predators.
Bring on that Game 7 tonight, we will have a champion by the end.

The Cup is then decided by one game between the Hurricanes and the Sharks before the next season starts.

TORONTO (June 11, 2019) – Co-chairs of the NHL/NHLPA Competition Committee – Mathieu Schneider, National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) Special Assistant to the Executive Director, and Colin Campbell, National Hockey League (NHL) Senior Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations – issued the following statement on new rules recommendations after the Competition Committee met today in Toronto:
Expanded Video Review/Coach’s Challenge – The Committee recommends changes to the Coach’s Challenge and expanded video review, including as it relates to a Referee’s ability to review some of his own calls on the ice. Recommendations will be prepared for the League’s Board of Governors, General Managers and the NHLPA’s Executive Board.
Helmets Off During Play – The Committee recommends work on a rule construct for implementation next season that would reasonably require a player to leave the ice in the event his helmet comes off during play.
Goalies Unnecessarily Freezing Puck – The Committee recommends that the defensive team not be permitted a line change when a goalie freezes the puck on any shot from outside the center red line. The offensive team will have the choice of which end zone dot the face-off will take place.
Face-off Procedure Changes/Line Changes – The Committee recommends: i) that following an icing, the offensive team will have the choice of which end zone dot the face-off will take place. ii) To begin a power-play, the offensive team will have the choice of which end-zone dot the face-off will take place. iii) That no line change be permitted for the defending team if, in the judgement of the Official, the actions of a skater of the defensive team caused the stoppage by unintentionally knocking the net off. The offensive team will have the choice of which end-zone dot the face-off will take place.
Puck Out of Bounds – The Committee recommends that when the attacking team is responsible for the puck going out of play in the attacking zone, all face-offs will be conducted at one of the two face-off dots in the attacking zone.
Regular Season Tie-breakers – The Committee recommends adoption of a proposal that would modify existing regular season tie-breaking procedures and adding additional criteria.
The new rules recommendations still require approval by the NHLPA’s Executive Board and the NHL’s Board of Governors, at which point the language of the rules will be formalized.
The NHLPA was represented by Ron Hainsey (Toronto), Connor Hellebuyck (Winnipeg), Connor McDavid(Edmonton), John Tavares (Toronto), and James van Riemsdyk (Philadelphia). The NHL was represented by Minnesota Wild owner Craig Leipold and General Managers David Poile (Nashville), Ken Holland(Edmonton), Doug Wilson (San Jose) and Steve Yzerman (Detroit)

F/O & Line changes: Aye for dot choice. Nay for line change block. May lead to more injuries, unintentional actions should not lead to these consequences.
Puck out of bounds by attacker: Nay. May be abused.
Tie-breakers: Aye, but 3-2-1-0 is better

Only team in NHL history to have 2 players suspended during the Stanley Cup Finals. Who would have thunk a team coached by Berube that has Ott as an assistant coach would play dirty.

You could put Perry, Pronger and Theo Fleury in a boat and send off to nowhere and I wouldn't lose any sleep. Maybe Belfour too. Who am I missing? Oh yeah Soupy. I’d add Steve Ott and Brad Marchand... Corey Perry

Bring on game 7. OT please. There hasn't been a SCF game 7 OT since 1954. For Fugazi, though, that's yesterday.
