Patty has always been and will always be a better skater than Jumbo. Two major knees injuries doesn't help Jumbo's cause. What I'd like to see out of Jumbo at this point in his career is much more physicality. He needs to more consistently throw his weight around. He's a big dude that plays too soft especially when you don't have the same wheels as you once did. Yea, start Gooning it up now at 40, Joe. What a freakin dumb thing to post. I don’t know how anyone else feels about the Coyotes jerseys and maybe it’s just because we used to have those goalie pads as kids but if the NHL took one or two Saturdays a season and made it a 90s night so every team was wearing their 90s era jerseyI think that’d be the coolest thing. I’d watch the highlights just for that.
Plies it’s be an easy promo and a simple way to make a quick buck. No lose. Come on NHL make this reality.

Could very well be but funny how things change. Six months ago no one would’ve said Marleau was going to go more than Jumbo Six months ago Marleau didn't even have an NHL team! Recall DW put his age 40 eggs into Jumbo, left marleau out in the cold all summer. Marleau is the all-time best Shark draft pick by far, but IMO all-time best Shark player is Jumbo. I can understand if people disagree with that. But what does this say about DW's execution last summer? Sure he was able to pull the last minute reserve chute, but he backed the horse that has 0 goals and some secondary assists through 28 games. |

Yotes commentators calling Marleau the ageless one while they are basically saying Jumbo is done. I feel like this settles arguments from years past. This year Patty is much better than Jumbo. Absolutely. I’ve been especially impressed with PM’s back checking the past few games. Also, he’s one of the few Sharks that doesn’t make those plays that make you want to throw your beer through the TV...like Burns and Labanc  |

Back in the day, when he played, he probably styled his "game" after the great floaters of the game that had real men to protect their asses. Jumbo is 220-230. You can't teach size. Would you rather get hit by Jumbo or say Sorensen? Getting hit by Patty could be even worse because he has size AND speed. By no means does that imply just to go out running around hitting everything, that could cause positional issues. That's something with which the Sharks already struggle. But there are opportunities to hit that the Sharks turn away from a lot of the time unnecessarily. Hockey is a tough game to play. It's even tougher to play from the seat of your pants. I believe in making things as difficult as possible for your opponents. Nellie apparently thinks the game should be played like checkers.🤷🏻♂️ |
