The final score was 7-1? SEVEN?!?! They gave up a freakin' touchdown?  FFS... So which 4th liner will Pete bench this time? Timo Meier? I'd be very surprised if DeBoer had the temerity to scratch one of the top line guys. Labanc gets a regular shift pretty much no matter what he does. Me? I don't give a shit who you are, you slack off and you'll get a game off. I shut the game off completely at 3-0 so I didn't get the full extent of Timo's public skate. After getting whacked 7-1, I'm sure there were plenty of guys deserving to be delivering popcorn tomorrow night. |

Second straight game Jones the starter gets pulled. four goals on twenty-one shots, .810 SV% tonight. .890 over his 23 starts this season.
that first Stamkos goal made Jones look like an ECHL practice goalie. he's off angle and whacked. DW needs to acknowledge he's got a problem in the crease. Let the Barracuda goalie start a game; send a message. You just can't keep starting these two over and over and keep expecting better outcomes. At least fire Johan Hedberg, get somebody fresh talking to Jones & Dell. Jones gets fourth, fifth.. tenth and eleventh chances to get better next outing? - because of his long term contract?
As a fan I think shark goaltending has been complete sub-par Bullshit so far this season. Show us a sign you care, Wilson.

Line 3 looked ok but they really don't have enough pop to score regularly. Line 4 is kind of similar, they skate and actually drive some pace but ain't going to net goals. It also seemed like Simek was taking shifts with Dillon. I wonder what was going on there and if the Ferraro on his off side is being looked at as a problem. Overall the team isn't fucking scoring 5 on 5, and hasn't scored a PP goal since Fugazi was a young man. So I don't know what you do outside of shitcan the coach and start with a new system. Otherwise they need too many roster changes at this point. |

Trade Jones to LA for Jonathan Quick, give two expensive LOSER goalies a jolt - similar to the Milan Lucic for James Neal trade. A loser for a loser, and both have years left on their stupid contracts. Make a trade, fire the goalie coach.. or trade Labanc. try a team jolt before totally firing head coach Deboer. Thats a huge change of direction. |
