Erik Karlsson does not fit this team. In general, however, this team is completely misfit. And DW built this team, I still don't know how he keeps his job unless he's got pics of Hasso doing something with farm animals ...baby farm animals... And Labanc has pics of DW helping Hasso at the farm...

Erik Karlsson does not fit this team. In general, however, this team is completely misfit. He's a flat out shitty defenseman. He's creative offensively but an utter disaster defensively. What's he now, minus 1735629? No that's his paycheck that Wilson gave him & strapped this team for years

It is high time for DW to bury Jones. The Kyrou goal is unforgivable. He’s not an NHL goaltender and his play is sinking this team. They were by all accounts a dominant team last year with Jones dropping back into the middle of the pack.
I can’t claim to know what’s going on behind the scenes but someone try to convince me that this team has any confidence in him after a year+ of bottom of the barrel play. He doesn’t get much help most nights but how much of that is because everyone is gripping too hard and on edge because they know their goalie can’t come up with the stop? At what point can you say the defense isn’t as bad as it looks because every mistake winds up in the back of net because they never get the save when they need it. How many times have they had to play from behind after the first five minutes?
They could try anyone else, Korenar, trade for a backup, bring back Nolan Schaefer, I don’t care. By the numbers it could stay the same or get better because there isn’t really a way it could get worse.

3rd period tonight mattered, good teams relish battling in the 3rd. So, game tied 2-2 with 20 minutes left. Sharks get outplayed, outshot 13-8 have two PPs in the 3rd and lose. Jones lets in 3, checks out under .900 AGAIN.
partner texts me after tonights game: "Bringing a sign to Vegas game tomorrow: - "DeBoer WASN'T the problem!". Yea, probably not - ugly play continues under Bogey. Vegas, another heavy team gets the Sharks sunday. Cue Randy Hahn's "remember, Sharks played last night" speech. December has been a brutal month. Bogey can't yet stop bleeding on critical team goal differential number. Sharks now a -30. Youch.

And yes, they must bring another goalie. Maybe Korenar will be their Binnington. After all, STL managed to fix Jake Allen, who's not dissimilar to Jones.

Amazing how absolutely nothing from Barracuda can stick, that even Ferraro is now riding the pine. More reasons to promote the Barracuda staff, I guess.

yup John is 100% correct. they need to play another goalie very soon as an attempt to shed a growing losing attitude. Players need to feel like coaches & management are also trying to win, not just play through some bad contracts. Continuing to start Jones & Dell is like spraying your living room with Lysol each day but refuse to remove the dead skunk from under your sofa. Address the root cause problems, DW! He should have been looking for new goalies last summer, IMO.

My favorite thinking out loud from Brodie & Scott Hannan in pre-game that maybe the Sharks will be like what the Blues did last year being in dead last in Jan. Then coming back & winning the cup, I almost wet myself laughing so hard.

To bad these spoiled players don't have to work 2 jobs to make a living or bust their Butt's like a FedEx or UPS driver delivering well over a 100 packages a day. Randy needs to come into the REAL World

The problem with contracts is that they reward players for the past job, which is a business disaster. No proper manager in a real business does that. The whole CBA has to change, to involve short-term premium structures.

Last year looked like an anomaly, but instead it seems more like something happened in the summer of 2018. Jones sort of earned that contract. It didn't look bad at all, when it was signed, not the AAV, nor the length.
