Sorry to miss the last few puck night pics.
But we had a funeral service for my wife's Step Grandpa then we see some discoloration in the master bedroom closet on floorboards and low and behold probably another slab or wall leak since you know mold is happening faintly.
No continuous water seeping out from anything currently but enough to cause mold inside walls and floorboards according to leak detection company, but dealing with Home Owners insurance is a chore. Even weirder that we get the same adjuster that we had 2 years ago when we had one in the kitchen.
And by chore pissing us off at the moment cause he wants a 2nd opinion than the original guys he sent out. Good grief man our floorboards water stained brown and not white in the closest. How much more proof do you need!
Oh and cause of "Coviid" he cant came out to inspect the claim and can only go off the reports from the companies that came out.
Sure Jan!

How can they determine if there's mold if they won't go and eyeball the closet. What a crock. Hopefully you can get the issue resolved soon

Hopefully you can get the issue resolved soon The two main companies took lots of pictures and submitted their reports to claims. It's the claims guy being a turd sandwich. Oh and off topic to really blow your mind. The Step GPA was originally married to the sister of his current wife (GMA for my wife) and has kids with the other sister. Got the makings for a really fun script idea I tell ya!

Per chance are they Mormon? This sounds like a 14 family compound scenario with one Godfather um no. They were just scandalous back in the 70's! But say 20years ago the current GMA (her sister died awhile back) has dementia and was addicted to pain killers etc. which pretty much started the dementia and making her very grumpy at times. It's a crazy family on that side of things (my wife's mom meaning her mom).

welp we got another MF-in slab leak.
but at least now it is meeting the deductible or at least going over it.
so now all the back and forth scheduling etc.
possible staying at a hotel while the work is done since they want us to have the water off etc.
fun times!
Maybe time to look into re-piping with Pex pipe or something.
fun times!

Maybe time to look into re-piping with Pex pipe or something. fun times! If you do decide to re-pipe the house you'll have to use copper. I found this on the google machine Is PEX pipe banned in California? Unfortunately for Californians, Pex is currently banned by the state. Despite frequent requests for approval, Pex continues to be denied and cannot get added to the list of approved materials when it comes to residential construction projects. If you do decide to re-pipe get at least four bids. It's expensive but you don't want the contractor taking any shortcuts in the installation.
