welp we got another MF-in slab leak. but at least now it is meeting the deductible or at least going over it. so now all the back and forth scheduling etc. possible staying at a hotel while the work is done since they want us to have the water off etc. fun times! Maybe time to look into re-piping with Pex pipe or something. fun times! If you do decide to re-pipe the house you'll have to use copper. I found this on the google machine Is PEX pipe banned in California? Unfortunately for Californians, Pex is currently banned by the state. Despite frequent requests for approval, Pex continues to be denied and cannot get added to the list of approved materials when it comes to residential construction projects. If you do decide to re-pipe get at least four bids. It's expensive but you don't want the contractor taking any shortcuts in the installation. Rules have changed- California approves PEX for plumbing — again SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — The California Building Standards Commission has given its approval for the use of PEX tubing in potable water systems in the state following its review of a Second Revised Draft Environmental Impact Report (SRDEIR). Robert P. Mader SEP 02, 2010 (oh wait 2010?! LOL!)

been living in a long term hotel since Friday for this slab leak stuff.
Currently at house while plumbers repair leak.
then gotta wait for insurance to send a contractor out to go over the final repair/replacement.
Would like that to be today but odds are tomorrow. so yet another time off work. (ugh).

Billie Hayes, whose portrayal of the flamboyantly and comically wicked witch Witchiepoo on the 1969-70 Saturday morning live-action children’s classic H.R. Pufnstuf, died of natural causes April 29 at Cedar’s Hospital in Los Angeles. She was 96. Her death was announced by her family.

cjelli, Have you ever heard of Optimal Planning Solutions? I saw a show on NFL Network tonight that talked about them developing software to make the schedule every year. Really interesting stuff
