Interested in what the board thinks about our prospects.
Pretty obviously, Eklund looks to be a really good one, but I don't see enough hockey to have much of an idea what the other guys may bring. of course many get hyped especially by the Sharks themselves, but informed opinions of the college, major juniors, and foreign players would be really interesting.
Hopefully some of you will have seen them play in person, but even if you haven't, any insight would be valuable.
One question that I have is just how good is Ryan Merkkley? And even with lots of talent, is his personal baggage worth the time and effort?
Don't know if he's around any more, and even though he could be obnoxious at times, CBF level of analysis, would be good

CBF? Ha Ha! The biggest concern for Eklund is how will he respond to the physical aspects of the NHL game. He registers just under a point a game in a scoring league so he can chip in but can he avoid ugly hits and still play his game. I am not expecting much from him anytime soon. As for Merkkley, why did we not see a bunch from him on the big club when it was clear the team was going nowhere? At 21 ad drafted in the 2018 draft the time is now for him. He does not score much and was a -13.....on the Cuda..... |
