We got my son and DIL all moved into their house last weekend. Luckily it was only about 4 blocks for the place they were renting so it made moving a little easier with going back and forth without having to strap things down to much. Well on Saturday they got their first taste of being homeowners. LOL. My son was trying to fix the hall shower when something broke and water started spraying everywhere, DIL called me and was franticly trying to figure how to turn off the water into the house. We facetimed and couldn't find the shut off valve anywhere around the house. Finally called fire department and even they had a hard time finding it. Turns out it's in the ally way behind their fence. Who the fuck puts the shutoff valve behind the house? But they got it shut off plumber came fixed it and all's well, well until they get the bill from the plumber. LOL Not sure the slab leak ration out where your son moved, but I would see about re-piping the house with PEX if not done already and if (as odd as this sounds) legal in their state. We got a quote a week ago but man should have done that the minute we moved in since we have gone through 2 slab leaks in 2 years! But hey at least the shut off valve is in the front of the house basically the patio! But yeah in the back?! That's witchcraft! Good luck with them being homeowners! |

Hopefully DeScalfani can get it done in the first 7 to 8 innings! And of course I live in a house divided with the wife rooting for the enemy! |

I came up to help clean there old rental and a house her friend owns that she's gonna let my DIL groom dogs. Who knew it was that big of a deal, since she's moved up here she has had to turn away clients because she is so busy. there's a dog grooming place up here but it has a really bad reputation, so she has gotten people from that place as well as just word of mouth. The leak was from the shower valve when he tried to fix it he fucked up and did something he wasn't suppose to do. LOL It doesn't appear to have any water damage on the floor or surrounding areas so I think they got lucky. |
