Those were some ugly goals let in by Hill (except Ovie's cause well... it's Ovie) but he is a young goalie who barely has 30 NHL games yet. He is the goalie of the future, and Reimer is the goalie of right now because he is getting up there and his play will fall off eventually. This is the time for Hill to develop into a starter

He is the goalie of the future, and Reimer is the goalie of right now because he is getting up there and his play will fall off eventually. This is the time for Hill to develop into a starter Hill is 25, it's his fifth season in the NHL, and he has about 50 starts. |

This is the time for Hill to develop into a starter Hill is 25, it's his fifth season in the NHL, and he has about 50 starts. Goalies take longer (usually) to develop. His first four seasons he spent the majority of his time in the AHL until last season when the Coyotes ran into injury issues. 50 games would be enough in (1) season for a starting tender. And he has that spread throughout 5 seasons. If the sharks thought he was going to be their number 1... They would not have signed Reimer. |
