I can’t rally hate either team (except for the now ancient history of the hated Avs teams of the late 90s and early 00s). They both built their teams through smart drafting and development, not overpaying guys, and making shrewd moves to supplement their cores and bolster depth. They are the blueprint to prolonged, elite, success in the NHL today. What tipped the scales for me was Kadri being out versus Point potentially returning and Vasilevsky in net. Kadri is skating but it would be a surprise to me if he played game one. Biggest factor to me is goalie play. Big edge to the Bolts. If that was even I would have gone with the Avs. I had Makar in for my CS so that stays put as a hedge I guess. |

Can the Bolts really run the table for a third straight time? It looks like Point will return but Kadri will not. Bolts have clear advantage in net. Makar is a beast. Decisions, decisions...... I picked Avs to win it all at the start but how do you pick against Tampa Bay? I'm in the same predicament, and with Kadri out.... |
