Florida showing was pathetic, barkov MIA completely. Tampa gets full marks, especially Vas but panthers played to a fraction of what they’ve done all year. And probably Jumbos last game tonight, end of an era. Wish he would have gone out when he still made some impact but was worth a shot I guess I completely agree, all the "big guys" absolutely MIA and just could not adjust to what was successful against Tampa all year, it was like they were still playing the Caps but Tampa is way better than the Caps. I think he had more of an impact than the guys who played and then sat in the press box tonight. Still a shell of former self non the less. |

I have no pity for Jumbo.
My respect for him started to deteriorate after he signed the extension, and led the team to the reverse sweep, and continued as if nothing had happened. My respect further declined when began milking the org with those $8M/y and $5M/y contracts when he was already highly depreciated. The rock bottom was when he let Bortuzzo, of all players, walk past him and score that goal vs. the Blues after Logan willed the team into 2-2 from 0-2.
He should've retired one season after the SCF run, when his contract ran out, after he had a 50 point season and got the first knee injury.

NEW YORK (May 24, 2022) – St. Louis Blues forward David Perron has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for cross-checking Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri during Game 4 of the teams’ Second Round series in St. Louis on Monday, May 23, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 5:30 of the second period. Perron was assessed a minor penalty for cross-checking.

Forums are for relaxing, having an alcoholic beverage (or 2-30), and shooting the shit with like-minded people, not to be treated like a term paper that gets spell-checked, submitted to turnitin.com, and then red penned by a professor. You and I literally agree on more topics than an average person can count, yet this is the (1) you pick out to take objection over. - Acknowledge he lashed out with an irrelevant insult when being mocked about it.
- Acknowledge he was wasting the time and the bandwidth of the server for not acknowledging the two above earlier.
Otherwise, well, he probably understands even being Uncle Podger...
In any case, he's likely to continue to be entitled to an opinion even about Kirill Kaprizov, despite what I may think about it. Just not here.

Flames with another letdown year. They were the better team but they didn’t play like it. Markstrom is a talented goalie but he seems easily shaken and McDavid got in his head. They had no answer for 97-29-91.
