"American Jews are now part of the ownership class," Weingarten said. "Jews were immigrants from somewhere else. And they needed the right to have public education. And they needed power to have enough income and wealth for their families that they could put their kids through college and their kids could do better than they have done."
"What I hear when I hear that question is that those who are in the ownership class now want to take that ladder of opportunity away from those who do not have it," she said.
And then let's discuss the fate of the ladders of opportunity due to lockdown instigated by the her own teachers' union. The first law of the US politics is immutable.

I say, screw it, and we should have our own schools. Re: Brandeis University. Same cause.
Princeton has offered admission to its class of 2025 to 1,498 applicants. According to numbers provided by the University, fewer than nine percent of them (129 out of the 1498) are white American males. Of that small number many — perhaps most — are recruited athletes.
68 percent of the admitted applicants identify as “persons of color.” 14 percent identify as international students. 52 percent are female. 48 percent are male.
My daughter is frustrated when I say Ivy League schools have lost any value whatsoever, but every new day makes my case stronger.

danvilleshark, if your company has any relationship with Bright Funds you should reconsider it.
Bright Funds notified us that a Bright Funds employee inadvertently uploaded files containing Company data to a personal GitHub account. Upon discovery of this incident, the Bright Funds team removed the files and notified Company.
The files did not include passwords, financial information or account numbers.
The files contained information associated with donations made via the Company Foundation portal during December 2020. The information disclosed was limited to Company employee names, Company email addresses, phone numbers (for PayPal donations only), donation amounts and the charitable organization(s) to which those donations were directed.
Inadvertently my ass.

The University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) reportedly said that its public safety advisories would no longer identify a suspect's race so it could avoid perpetuating negative stereotypes.
On Wednedsay, Young America's Foundation (YAF) reported on the announcement from January, which it learned about through its campus bias tip line.
"Effective January 2021, the university will no longer routinely use race, ethnicity or national origin as a descriptor in public safety advisories," the email read.
In a statement to YAF, spokeswoman Sherri McGinnis Gonzalez confirmed the new policy.
"The university no longer routinely uses race, ethnicity or national origin as a descriptor in public safety advisories. This decision was made after consulting with several members of the UIC community, including the UIC Police Department and our recently established Public Safety Board," Gonzalez said.
"The advisories are designed to inform our community members so they can change their behavior as necessary to be conducive to the recommended safety measures in the UIC campus area. While we generally will no longer use race or other descriptors, we will include them if, given the totality of the circumstances, they can enhance immediate public safety and/or include differentiating characteristics."
She also defended the decision as a "proactive progressive measure balancing public safety with the potential negative perpetuation of stereotypes."

Finally some good news about colleges these days.
The 169-year-old Mills College, one of the few women's colleges in California, announced Wednesday it's shifting from a degree-giving college to an institute promoting women's leadership.
After fall 2021, Mills will no longer enroll new-first year undergraduate students and it will likely confer its final degrees in 2023, pending further consideration and action by the board of trustees, Elizabeth Hillman, the school's president, said in a letter posted online.
Couldn't think of a more deserving institution. Maybe Oberlin or Evergreen, but not by a large margin.

I think the stuff like admitting the transvestites contributed to thay, the TERFs turned away. But let the spiders consume themselves in that jar.

www.projectveritas.com/news/part-1-cnn-director-admits-network-engaged-in-propaganda-to-remove-trump/CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester: “Look what we did, we [CNN] got Trump out. I am 100% going to say it, and I 100% believe that if it wasn't for CNN, I don't know that Trump would have got voted out…I came to CNN because I wanted to be a part of that.” Chester: “[Trump’s] hand was shaking or whatever, I think. We brought in so many medical people to tell a story that was all speculation -- that he was neurologically damaged, and he was losing it. He's unfit to -- you know, whatever. We were creating a story there that we didn't know anything about. That's what -- I think that’s propaganda.” Chester: “We would always show shots of him [Biden] jogging and that [he’s] healthy, you know, and him in aviator shades. Like you paint him as a young geriatric.” Chester: “I think there's a COVID fatigue. So, like whenever a new story comes up, they're [CNN’s] going to latch onto it. They've already announced in our office that once the public is -- will be open to it -- we're going to start focusing mainly on climate.” Chester: “It's going to be our [CNN’s] focus. Like our focus was to get Trump out of office, right? Without saying it, that's what it was, right? So, our next thing is going to be for climate change awareness.” Chester: “It [COVID] will taper off to a point that it's not a problem anymore. Climate change can take years, so they'll [CNN will] probably be able to milk that quite a bit…Climate change is going to be the next COVID thing for CNN…Fear sells.”

The so called media:
A Los Angeles Times columnist wrote last week the idea there's some mass exodus from California is a fantasy created by conservatives, particularly Texas ones -- but a Lone Star State lawmaker is pushing back.
"Gloating dispatches report an exodus of millionaires, billionaires and hard-pressed members of the state’s middle and working classes — their U-Hauls piled high like Dust Bowl refugees — supposedly depopulating California, hollowing out its COVID-stricken economy and leaving this once-promised land to sink tragically into the Pacific," L.A. Times columnist Mark Z. Barabak writes.
"Never mind the reality," he wrote. "There is no exodus."
Barabak didn't end his argument there and went on to criticize Texas for its policies.
"California has come to be the capital of Blue State America, a land where residents pay higher taxes in support of more generous services, embrace a credo of live and let live, and condone stiffer regulations to give greater protection to the environment," he wrote. "That stands in contrast and direct competition with Red State America, where the governing philosophy is lower taxes, less regulation and social conservatism. (In Texas, the red-state capital, residents have been known to burn their furniture to stay warm when the under-maintained power grid fails.)"
In a statement to Fox News on Tuesday, Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, said "best of luck" to the liberal newspaper.
"There can be no doubt that Americans are moving to Texas in large numbers due to pro-growth, pro-liberty policies," Rep. Roy said. "But if the L.A. Times wants to convince their Californian readers that everything is fine in their state, I wish them the best of luck. Let liberal Californians stay and keep voting for the policies that drove the state into the ground and let Texas stay Texas. Because the story you will not read is a story about Texans flocking to California."

Sometimes, it’s better to just wait in line. Police in Tennessee arrested a woman they believe was responsible for a violent incident at a Burger King drive-thru last month. According to reports, the woman is believed to be the same person who allegedly fired a gun through the drive-thru window because the wait was too long.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KRON) – Porn star Mary Carey announced Tuesday that she plans to run for Governor of California in an effort to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom. Carey also ran for governor in the 2003 recall election and placed 10th out of a field of over 130 candidates. “Last time I ran I was young, dumb and full of fun,” Carey said. But this time around, she says she’s “ready to be on top!” “I have big plans for California, and it is time for someone with a new attitude from outside of mainstream politics to lead. I can promise you – it won’t take long before all Californians will be satisfied with my job performance.” She says she plans to give a boost to the entertainment and high-tech industries. A poll released by Nexstar Media Group‘s six California Television Stations along with Emerson College found Californians are split when it comes to Newsom’s performance and he has his work cut out for him if he is to hold on to his office for another term. When I googled Mary Carey to include a photo it took awhile to find a picture of her with her clothes on. Oy Vey
